I'll be honest. What I think would benefit the team the most going forward is a culture change. We have become a team with too many divas and big talkers who are more worried about their next contract than winning. Bell and Bryant come to mind immediately. AB is a diva too but he usually puts his money where his mouth is and delivers. The other two are pretty much a constant distraction. Mitchell also runs his mouth constantly and can't back it up. I think the inmates are running the asylum in a lot of cases with this group. I think a lot of it boils down to a lax atmosphere by the coaching staff and a "me first" attitude by the players.
I don't think we will a SB until that changes. The more I hear about what ******** the players were acting like before the Jags game, the more I think they deserved to lose and the less upset I am about losing it.

Sadly, I have to agree with this assessment. I do think there is a lack of discipline in the locker room. Some of it I Place in coaches, but I also place some responsibility on veterans (including Ben) for not providing leadership.
Remember last year when AB did his FB live crap, and everyone defended him because “he’s AB?” That **** is like cancer in a locker room. It spreads. He was doing that WITH younger guys.
Then this year we hear about Martavis bitching about playing time (and his teammates), AB kicking Gatorade containers, Harrison sleeping in meetings, Bell airing his grievances in the media, Mitchell talking trash before the playoff game, stupid taunting penalties and excessive attention placed on showboating., it’s all a sign of a lack of discipline.
In the past, this is where people like Bettis or Hines would have stepped in and redirected. I’m not sure there is anyone doing that in this locker room. Hell, Ben’s to busy throwing his coaches under the Bus in the media and causing his own drama.
I am not sure Tomlin is the disciplinarian that I thought he was. He allows this culture to continue. As to the comment about playing NE, I have no problem with it, but I think he and his veteran needs to have better control of that locker room.
I’m not sure there is a mature/stable voice there. Who knows, maybe that could be DeCastro, if he would just speak up to his teammates, and not to the media.
There is a reason we have developed a reputation for drama.
