Covid Vaccine

You don't judge the vaccines' effectiveness by saying only "X percent" of "those vaccinated" died. It's stats abuse.

You look at what % of cases were vaxed people.
What % of deaths were vaxed people.
What % of hospitalizations were vaxed people.

You do NOT say "we inoculated 3.2 million and only 497 of them got Covid." Unless you are abusing stats for political gain.
Deaths are the ultimate measure. If nobody had ever died of Covid, it would have ceased being a news story 22 months ago. Regardless the vaccines also reduce cases and hospitalizations multiple times.

I know, right? It's not like vaccinated people have protection from what they were vaccinated against!!

Ron should open a funeral home catering to families of those who died from smallpox and polio! LOL! OMG!

The vaccines are not perfect. Covid is extremely contagious. The vaccines reduce your risk of getting it and greatly reduce your risk of dying or getting seriously ill from it.

"Some vaccinated people still die" is not a good argument against the vaccines. My friend's fully vaccinated kid got mumps last year. Vaccines vary in their effectiveness. That doesn't mean they are useless.

Point to one example where I ever said anything to the contrary.

ONE.

Find one post I made "against the vaccine."

ONE.

Jesus ******* Christ, the vax lovers buttholes are so tight over any potentially moderate negative comment about the shot that if you put a piece of coal in your ***, you'd wind up with a diamond.

The anti-vaxxers are so angry if you try to point out anything remotely positive about the vaccines they start immediately hurling insults.

Deaths are the ultimate measure. And you measure them based upon who got Covid. Not the entire population. With deaths greater this year than last, and with deaths rising among the vaxed, it's a bad indictment.

It's truly amazing, is it not.

This is where we are today: The US is highly vaccinated. 59% fully vaccinated, 69% partially. Deaths are 8% higher this year than last. Cases are 27% higher this year than last. And people scream "See! The Vaccines work!"

What a bizarre world we live in. But hey, boys can be girls and there are 64 genders so this fits right in.

nobody is anti-vax, only anti vax mandate. You can inject yourself with whatever you like.

People are anti-these-vaccines.

Tired of people opposing these vaccines being labeled anti-vaxers.

I agree with this.

They are indeed not perfect. While vaccine related incidents remain rare, they are still INFINITELY more dangerous than all other vaccines ever put to mainstream use.

In 2019, there were a total of 605 deaths reported to VAERS for ALL vaccines.
In 2021, there have been a total of 17,935 deaths reported to VAERS.

Only a slight 2,864% increase.

Nothing to see here, move along.

The vaccines work 90% of the time, but only if you’re vaccinated.

Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River. Life is old there, older than the trees…

All current science disagrees with you. As do the CEOs of those companies.

One study from Israel covered 4,800 health care workers and showed antibody levels wane rapidly after two doses of vaccine "especially among men, among persons 65 years of age or older, and among persons with immunosuppression."
The study also indicated that immunity for people who get vaccinated after natural Covid-19 infection lasts longer.
"BNT162b2-induced protection [Pfizer] against infection builds rapidly after the first dose, peaks in the first month after the second dose, and then gradually wanes in subsequent months," Laith Abu-Raddad of Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar and colleagues wrote. "The waning appears to accelerate after the fourth month, to reach a low level of approximately 20% in subsequent months," they added.

It keeps dropping and dropping and dropping....

Keep banging that drum. "Deaths are up! Cases are up! The vaccines work!!" /Floggy

I was just thinking how most of the lapdog media and Libs like Flog were suspicious of the hastily developed vaccine under Trump but about ten minutes after Biden moved into the White House it was vital that everyone get a shot.

that's why it should be called a shot and not a vaccine.
vaccine implies you cannot and will not get sick from a virus.

this is a shot. nothing more. nothing less. effects different people differently. some people lose their appendix and decide to forego any further booster of this shot.

After the way my sister got messed up from it, I'm not taking any more shots or boosters.

My arm still hurts.....

Calling these shots "vaccines" is wrong. The reality is people are going to be needing shots every 6 months for them to be the most effective. I doubt many people are going to be taking a shot that often. I had both shots and a booster and after how the booster made me feel I probably will not get another one. I am on the fence about my daughter who is 10. I will at least hold off for a while and see what happens.

Communists who worship the vax and agree with mandates are a bunch of thundercunts.
F them all.. Whoever wants it can have my shot and in their mind they will be doubly protected. Just leave me the f alone..

No offense meant, but with the epic number of cases you get where you work, you better be getting a booster every 3 weeks.

IMO - anyone who is aware that they have comorbidities such as lung cancer, should get the shot. It WILL prevent those who get the shot from becoming gravely ill. I'd suggest anyone 65+ should get the shot.

Using the math and following the science, it's not quite as effective - or necessary - for those younger.

Hell, if I were 60 and had HAD cancer, I'd get the shot. Lifespan and all.

The shot itself can even have adverse side effects in the younger population. That said, it's not creating a 99% rate of side effects, and the people who are experiencing these are barely acknowledged.

It should be ADVISED to get the shot if you're 60-50 years of age.

But to mandate without specifically mandating that everyone get the shot is not what this country is founded upon.
