Covid Vaccine

Anyone can edit video clips together and make something look like something it’s not and then put it on Twitter. Where are the legitimate articles showing Democrats statements resisting the vaccine?
You're not serious. I figured your answer would be something like that.

Here's one, from that hard core right wing rag Newsweek. Took all of 30 seconds to find it. Not sure why I'm bothering, I'm certain you'll dismiss this one too.

Yeah it's pointless, Sarge. Just another troll who will cherry pick anything he can to push his agenda. I know I'm guilty too, but no more.

Did you read the article?

All it has are quotes regarding trusting health experts, not the government or Trump alone when it comes to vaccine approval. It also has Cuomo’s spokesman accusing the “anti-science crowd” as “twisting our words” and states that “vaccine hesitancy is still higher among Republicans”.

Look, everybody knows it's true. First, they laughed and said there was no way a vaccine could be developed that quickly. Then, when it became clear a vaccine was coming quickly, the language changed to not being able to trust the vaccine. Truth is, they were worried it would help Trump win the election, so they came out against it. When Biden won, the language changed again and suddenly the vaccine was the end all be all to save humanity. It is easy to keep switching viewpoints when 95% of the media is going to run cover for your position, regardless of what it is.

Yes I read the article. I notice you left this part out.
While vaccine skepticism was still higher among Republicans—as it has been historically—there was a marked increase among Democrats. In May, 50 percent said they would "definitely" get the vaccine. By September, this had fallen to 24 percent.
Seems Democrat skepticism in the vaccine increased by over 50%. Can't imagine what might have caused that. I mean, unless you truly believe Trump was in the lab with a lab coat, beakers and bunson burners making the vaccine himself. If Joe Biden asking who would get the shot, who would trust it wasn't enough, nothing will be.

The trick is go to a decent sized liberal Democratic forum, say the Democratic underground, and see what they say about the vaccines pre Trump losing and post trump losing

If you were to dig here, or well anywhere i post, you’ll see that i was pretty sure a vaccine would be done before the new year, and I was on board with getting it but not right away, because i wanted to see if any side effects would occur…..

it wasn’t anything from a conservative source that ultimately had me put the brakes on my plans, but rather a lot of information from my liberal Democrat friends and family that got me thinking as I do…

trust me, id love a vaccine right now, just to shut everyone up, but not these particular ones just yet… and ill never get a pfizer booster under any circumstances… way too shady there

I think Dems think that everyone thinks tge vaccines are laced with microchips or some other inane conspiracy theory… most just think tgere is a moderate likelihood of poor long term effects that rushing through testing could not adequately rule out

Mad, you're being way too reasonable - knock it off!

And I'm not getting mRNA injected into my body. My body, my choice.

This is a poll from prior to the election that says, unlike Republicans, the majority of Democrats said they would get vaccinated.

Idiot, what explains Connecticut having a very different reality than Mississippi? Coincidence? The vaccine is obviously preventing the spread.

Your own, beloved CDC and Rochelle Walensky (how many times do I have to repeat this) have stated the vaccines no longer prevent the spread of COVID.

You, like the idiot lemming you are, insist they do.

It must be painful trying to figure out which Liberal false-science messages to listen to on a day to day basis.

And please for the love of God, stop pointing to individual states as some sort of "example", especially those in metro areas where people freely migrate from state to state, often times crossing several states a day. It's so ******* amateur. So now it's CT...you're 37th separate reference to a state to make a case in point only to find a week or two later it no longer makes the point.

Right next door to CT is RI. #1 in the nation currently in cases per 100K. They are the 5th highest vaccinated state in the country. ****, there goes that argument.

Sources? Or maybe you can find something in the Coronavirus thread to back up your claim? And what are you arguing? That liberals were right about the vaccine and are now wrong? Or that you’re anti-vax stance IS nothing more than political ideology?

Enjoying your very Trump-like meltdown mode.

Like every other time we beat you over the head with facts, I fully expect you to tuck tail, and switch to another argument. Why I bother....

Anti-Vaxxers Feed Off Democrats' Skepticism of COVID Vaccine

BY HANNAH OSBORNE ON 10/6/20 AT 6:41 AM EDT

Democratic politicians raising concerns about how quickly coronavirus vaccines could be rolled out to the public appear to be bolstering anti-vax groups. By highlighting issues around the vaccine development process, politicians on the left may be inadvertently increasing skepticism among the wider public.

On September 24, New York governor Andrew Cuomo said the state will independently review all vaccines authorized by the federal government. "Frankly, I'm not going to trust the federal government's opinion and I wouldn't recommend to New Yorkers based on the federal government's opinion,"
he said in a statement.

"What we don't trust is a federal government that has been caught red-handed multiple times circumventing the health experts and ‎making political decisions seemingly to boost the president's re-election chances."

At the start of September, Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris said she would not trust President Donald Trump's word alone that any vaccine developed is safe and efficient. <---------Anyone can edit a video to make it look the way they want it to /Flogged

A week later, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden made similar remarks during a speech in Delaware, saying, "I trust vaccines, I trust scientists, but I don't trust Donald Trump."

Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi, Democratic speaker of the United States House of Representatives
, has said any vaccine must meet safety standards before being released if it is to be accepted by the public.

"Unless there is confidence that the vaccine has gone through the clinical trials, and then is approved by the independent scientific advisory committee, as established to do just this, there will be doubts that people will have."

According to a survey from the Pew Research Center carried out between September 8 and 13, half of U.S. adults now say they probably or definitely would not get a vaccine to prevent COVID-19, if it were available today. <-------hmmmm, seems like this sentiment was fueled by Democrats in 2020

While vaccine skepticism was still higher among Republicans—as it has been historically—there was a marked increase among Democrats. In May, 50 percent said they would "definitely" get the vaccine. By September, this had fallen to 24 percent.

Prominent voices beyond politicians have also openly said they would not get vaccinated. In an interview with the New York Times on Monday, Elon Musk said neither he nor his family would be inoculated: "I'm not at risk for COVID, nor are my kids," he said.

Governor Jay Inslee: "“If all the protocols had been followed and the evidence is in, of course, I’d follow science. It doesn’t matter when it happens,” Inslee told The Associated Press. “But I would have to look at the science, not Donald Trump. There isn’t one single thing I would ever trust from Donald Trump to be true.”" Inslee’s comments are in line with a growing consensus of Democrats in leadership positions, including the party’s presidential nominee, Joe Biden.

Cal Cunningham, the Democratic nominee for Senate in North Carolina, said recently he’d be “hesitant” to take a vaccine authorized before the end of 2020.

"The person I trust is Dr. Fauci," Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii told CNN. "When people need to rely on the information we are getting from institutions that are supposed to be telling us the truth, and when they have to walk back certain things that they say, that does not help. The person I trust is Dr. Fauci."

Sen. Brian Schatz, another Hawaii Democrat, said that "if Anthony Fauci says it is safe to take, I will take it. If Donald Trump just announces a vaccine, I will want to understand what scientists say."

Some Democrats went as far as to say that FDA approval may not even be enough for them to know a vaccine works.

Asked specifically whether FDA approval was enough to know a vaccine was safe and effective, Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island said, "I would like to say FDA approved and CDC recommended, but given how those two agencies have gotten screwed up by President Trump, there is an asterisk by that. Unfortunately, they aren't the gold standard any longer, so you need to take a slightly closer look."

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York said in a news conference on Tuesday that "the American people have overwhelming doubts" about the Trump administration's ability to facilitate the development and distribution of coronavirus vaccines.

"If the President had any modicum of fidelity to science, no one would have any doubts," Schumer said. "The American people have overwhelming doubts. ... We just want science to govern. No political interference one way or the other."

Reason why science must be separated from this. When not if when the real **** happens. China is taking notes. We are ****** because of this. The world is ******.

The Federal Government will NOT be mandating the vaccines....................................

They will just use airlines, businesses, retail, gyms, and every other necessity we need in life to mandate it.

This is likely correct, but I think they do it to their own detriment. We are already experiencing shortages in just about every career field thanks to fear of COVID, add mandates and people quitting jobs and I can't see where this gets much better.

For instance, I love Hi-Chew candy. Especially the tropical flavors. Can't find it anywhere around here. In fact, the candy aisle in Walmart is pretty much empty. Lunch meat is in short supply. Sports drinks are harder to find. It's weird. Just some strange **** coming up short these days.

So too is healthcare.

Thing is, there's gonna come a point where when companies universally are requiring it, when airlines require it, when grocery stores require it...people are going to have a choice. Fight...or acquiesce.

I think we are going to start seeing **** like we are seeing happening in Australia and France and I think it could get ugly. Who knows at this point.

Went to Fry's (Kroger's) today and thought I was in Juarez. Either they can't get the products, or they don't have the help to stock the shelves.

There are a lot of things in short supply lately. Why is that? I've also heard farmers complaining that the USDA are bribing them with money not to produce - produce. What? And the largest (private citizen) land owner of farmland in the United States is a computer software developer (take a guess). I've also heard rumblings that Indian (the country India) farmers are getting far worse treatment, and they're dying by the tens of thousands right now.

What the hell is going on is what I'd like to know. Somebody please enlighten us.

Was listening to Breitbart Radio this morning, and a trucker called in to say is company is mandating vaccination now. Think he said he drives for Tyson Foods. Said he wasn't sure what to do. Everything is going to start running short over this vaccine. As mentioned above, healthcare is short nurses and staff, and it's expected to get worse. Farmers being paid not to produce, but different farmers get paid not to produce every year, so that's somewhat less worrisome. I read about Bill Gates buying up farm land. Think I read he has 268,000 acres to this point across five or six states.

So suppliers are running short on labor, distributors are running short on drivers, hard to find a brand new gas powered car these days, all kinds of stuff starting to come in short supply. This virus may not kill all of us, but it damn sure has made people so fearful of dying that they have stopped living.

Throw the debacle in Afghanistan on top of all this other ****, and man, the future sure doesn't look so bright.

Yup, time to step up folks. Thank you, President Biden.

Waiting for full FDA approval is stupid. I mean, people realize this thing wasn't fully FDA approved less than 24 hours ago, right? They had the same data when it wasn't approved as they do now. It's all good now, it's FDA approved. Right. I just can't see this changing anything for anyone.
