I have a lot of posts in the thread. I dont believe a single one is me arguing for or against vaccines. I just open this thread to give floggy a slap in the head once in a while for my own amusement and that of others. I couldn't care less about anyone's opinion on covid and vaccines. I dont see the point. What does anyone get out of this endless back and forth?

We need to realize that CVS is a business, and one way that businesses make money is to offer products to their customers.
At one time cigarettes were a profitable commodity for them as well, until public perception told them otherwise.
It may well be that covid shots will have a similar fate, or demand will drop to a level that no longer proves profitable, which is why they offer them in the first place.

I've already disproven this.
The ONLY free vaccines are the season flu.
Not MMR, not Tetanus, not COVID, not etc.
ONLY the flu is free from FOUR SEPARATE HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS I checked on, and checking with friends and family in other fields, the flu is only at about 70ish percent of them for free not using their insurance.
ALL other vaccines are on your dime and/or through your insurance, which are at 100% through their insurance if coded as routine/preventative.
Be it healthcare system, whatever other term you want to throw out for medical personnel, and/or non-healthcare employers.
There's no federal mandate or law requiring.
If they want to out of the goodness of their corporate hearts, ah salute.
YOUR employer offering ALL the vaccines for free is the anomaly/exception, not the rule or standard.

Yes, the health system pays for the vaccine upfront, but they almost always bill an insurance company to get that money back. Because hospitals act as both the boss and the medical provider, they use standard healthcare billing to cover the costs so the worker pays nothing.
So you didn't pay for it, but it wasn't free.
Without having to go back through this mess, maybe there was misunderstanding from the beginning about the term “associations”. Perhaps Hospitals, clinics, private doctors offices, etc. were mischaracterized as medical “associations”, which they really are not. Medical associations would include the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association for example.
But then there’s this:
Major medical associations can and do employ medical assistants when the organization operates actual clinical practices, clinics, occupational-health
services, research programs, or other patient-care operations.
So why you making a big deal about one stupid word anyway?
