Every time anyone mentions Ivermectin in a negative light, I assume they are utterly uneducated.

Yeah, dimwitted political driven numbskulls pointed out it was originally approved for animal parasitic infections.. that was in 1981...

By the late 80's it was approved for human uses. While the initial FDA approval was for parasitic infections, which it cured dozens of, it was found to have anti-inflamatory and antiviral properties. It was prescribed for a bunch of issues and won its inventor a Nobel prize for creating one of the most important drugs in human history..

In the years before Covid, the FDA sanctioned ongoing studies into its use as an anti inflammatory drug, and antiviral drug, and as a treatment for certain cancers.. they are all still in clinical trials...

See they didnt get emergency rush clearance because unlike all these other treatments, Ivermectin's patents expired ages ago... pills are super cheap... there is no money to be made on them...

i have no idea if it worked vs covid or not, but every single person including doctors who claimed it was just a horse dewormer was either being intellectually dishonest, or they were an idiot who had no clue what they were talking about... so using it as an insult isnt the flex you think it is..

Literally hundreds of drugs have off labeled use with successful results. Denying this fact only exposes their ignorance.

I mean if that was the sum of it, Id chalk it up to ignorance and not be salty about it.. it was how all these dipshits made statements about how it was just a drug for animals and people would be stupid to take it... meanwhile it was approved for human use in the late 80s and was heavily prescribed for dozens of things for 30 plus years when Covid hit...

It came off at best as arrogantly trying to put down people who mostly werent playing politics, they were just trying to come up with a solution to a major issue.

At worse it sounded like people rooting against a potential treatment for selfish political reasons...

Either way it really pisses me off.. and moreso because a good sized portion of the people tossing it around are also pushing holistic cures for all sorts of stuff with far less clinical studies and proven results than Ivermectin has had throughout the years...

Yeah this medicine that's been in use for thirty years is a horrible idea and could never work...

But dont forget to cure your erectile disfunction by snorting powdered bee ******** and ginger or some bullshit like that.. they'll be like, I heard anecdotal evidence that some tribe in Malaysia was rubbing cream made of whale penis extract on them to prevent cancer and then in the same breath mock people for trying something like Ivermectin...
