Covid Vaccine

didnt the gov't rule that fear or dislike is not a barometer by which one can refuse service to individuals?
 
Depends on why you fear or dislike a person I guess.

I don't fear. But as Tim posted previously, not everyone can be vaccinated. At present most children can't. Some immunocompromised people don't have great responses to the vaccine. The more people who are vaccinated, the slower the spread, the less serious illness and hospitalization.
 
isnt the Delta variant the one that is more like hayfever? isnt that the same one that is less deadly? if so, that mutation is exactly how it should have gone.

now, the Lambda variant is a different story.

and the Obama variant is a completely different horse.

Yes true but a lot of people are getting very sick and hospitalized acquiring those natural antibodies.

in fact, in some instances its not working at all.

so the shot will work for some people, but not everyone. it can have serious side effects. It can have no side effects. It can do what it was intended to do. It can do that with side effects, or no side effects. the only way to know is to inject it into your body. and then you're essentially a guinea pig at that point.

If you get infected with Covid you’re essentially an unprotected “guinea pig”. Take your pick. There’s a lot more people regretting getting Covid than there are people regretting getting vaccinated.

I wasn't talking about you personally. I understand how the shot supposedly works. But if I own a store, and I am vaccinated, what good reason, other than punishing the unvaccinated, is there for not allowing them in my store? That's cutting off your nose to spite your face.

This kind of stuff, for some reason, I do not care about. If people make decisions to not be vaccinated, then they must live with the consequences of their own action. If the real fear is that they might infect someone else, my first question is, why isn't "someone else" vaccinated? I know that some folks can't get the vaccine. Very small minority. But by and large, it seems the other unvaccinated people that might get infected are other people that do not want the vaccination.
 
Turn off the news and all Covid social media crap at this point, your body & mind will thank you for it.

why? its not as magical as they were led to believe. its not as magical as they want us to believe.
in fact, it's showing that the vax is contributing to stronger cases of mutations of the virus.

if they had called it a shot and not a vax, it might have been better. we get a flu shot. we know that shot is not going to last the rest of our lives. yet they still call this a vaccine. vaccines last the duration of your lifetime.

yet get the vax. it might help. it might not. but, regardless, we're going to find a way to force you to do so. even if we don't do the same - that's how the gov't is working on this. this has created a social stigma to those who are or are not vaxxed. follow the changing science, except when it doesnt flow to your bias.

its a shot, not a vaccine. call it as such.

JFC! The flu “shot” IS a vaccine. It’s also far less effective than the Covid “shot”.

yet the shot isnt as effective due to mutations

per FoggyFlogLogic, the KungFlu shot will cease to be as effective going forward, as the virus mutates. so mask up, get butt swabbed daily and hide in the closet.

It's not about punishing anyone. It's about trying to slow the spread of this disease. My brother has two young children. My sister in law is going through chemo. Our best friend's son has CF and has to take immunosuppressive drugs every day of his life. It's easy to just brush off a minority as if they don't matter, but they are real actual people.

The more people get vaccinated, the better protected people who can't be or for whom the vaccine doesn't work very well will be.

Flu shot prevents probably hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations and deaths every year.
 
Anyway I'm pretty much done with this debate. You all are gonna do what you're gonna do, I'll continue to correct misinformation when I see it but it's not my job to convince you guys of anything.

The Nazi comparisons are ridiculous and offensive though and you won't be able to change my mind on that one.

Well, I think it is, just a little bit. Lots of news stories and articles about unvaccinated people being excluded from society.

My wife is immunocompromised, so I get it, and I'm not brushing anything off.
