Cooks traded to Rams

No, it’s just fact that Ridley tested out like an old man at the Y that shoot free throws underhand.

short arms, small hands, terrible agility numbers, and laughably awful vertical and broad jump.

but he went to Alabama, so he’s awesome[r]

Fixed that for ya!!!

Funny how Cheats fans are now talking him down like he was a bad fit and how brilliant Belichick is for dealing him, his stats show otherwise. Problem is there are no elite receivers in the first round this year that can immediately duplicate those numbers. So unless they trade their first round picks for Beckham Jr they'll likely use the picks to trade up for a QB, although the elite QBs should be gone in the first 10 pics so maybe they'll wait and grab someone they can groom like Rudolph later in the first. So I think the Cooks trade is more about building for the future with the extra pick, and there's some desperation to it since they botched the Garappolo situation and now need a future QB with Brady turning 41.

Their offense is aging badly so it could be as simple as restocking with more cheap guys to fill out the roster and plan for the future. A bad year to pick when you need WRs though.

For the Rams it's a pretty solid move. They can either re-sign Cooks, franchise him, or allow him to walk and get a 3rd round pick. Considering they have Suh for 1 season and Cooks for one, they could be looking at a pair of comp 3rd rounders in 2020(they already have a pair in 2019).

The Rams weren't going to draft anyone at 23 that would be a starter on that team...so they went out and got a guy who can. That's what I see here. Like Tape said, they are going all-in for the SuperBowl this year (and maybe next) and then they can rebuild. Rams and 49ers are going to be a LOT of fun to watch this year.

As for the Pats...their run is over, Bill knows it. Kraft is interfering...Brady is in the sunset of his career, Gronk is consistently hurt...They can get all the picks they want, it isn't going to matter.

The Rams have a 3 year window to win the bowl until they have to pay Goff a ton of money. Wise to go all in.
