I'm listening to the Cook and Poni show on 93.7.

Of all the things to focus on from last night's game, the writer from that not-to-be-named paper is fixated on Brown's "body language."

That's a new twist.

He was upset his streak was stopped. Oh well. Start another one and catch balls that hit your hands.

Cook went on about Brown has to be coddled and implied he's more concerned with his stats than whether the team wins.

It's a strange thing to be harping on, when there was so much to critique from the game - Tomlin's poor decisions on fourth down, Haley's sometimes ineffective play-calling, Vick not playing like someone who has more than 100 career starts, etc.

Brown is the best WR in the game. The Ravens started single covering him on obvious run downs and we didn't even try to audible to a pass for him... he had 9 targets, 3 of which were uncatchable... against a team that had massive secondary issues... Id be beyond pissed too

True, but you can't really ***** when the ball is dropped perfectly outta the sky into your breadbasket and you put it on the ground. That's a drop that we expect Heyward-Bey to have, not Brown. Brown needed to bail out his qb and he didn't. And **** the stats. We wanna see wins and Super Bowls, NOT 5 catches and 50 yard streaks. And Brown can shove it because if he makes that catch, not only do the Steelers win the ******* game but, he gets continues his streak too.

If OT counts, he had his five catches last night. I could give a **** about streaks, but I don't think his streak being in jeopardy was his issue. I think he was upset about not being targeted when he was open several times throughout the night. Nonetheless, the drop in the end zone was a terrible effort by AB to basket catch that ****. He is a playmaker and we didn't put it into his hands enough IMO.

If anything this should show Brown that Ben is his money maker. If he doesn't have Ben, he's not getting a big contract.. that being said, I saw nothing from Brown that showed he was upset about not getting the ball. I'm sure he's upset we lost. If we would have won and he was still upset, then that's a little concerning. Otherwise.. nothing to see here but Cook talking out of his ***.

Please, if this is a surprise to anyone they need glasses. EVERY great WR wants the ball more. However, if you're going to *****, it can't be after a game where you dropped a TD pass that an elite WR always catches. Hell, he's been celebrating first downs like he hit the Lotto from the beginning. No news here.

We are very likely on a collision course with the Cheat riots for the AFCCG. We are already 2 full games behind them for home field. Losses like last night do not help.

I don't have a problem with Brown being upset about his numbers. He is a performer and he's not a locker room cancer like other diva players can be.

Vick needs to throw him the ball more down field. AB did drop a TD pass that hit him in the hands too though.

Why do some of you continue to torture yourselves listening to Cook and his sidekick Pony neither of whom has most likely eever played a down of organized football in their lives. They're always right and if you don't agree with them you're an idiot. **** that! You want real football insight, that's easy. Tune into ESPN 970 first for the Tunch and Wolf show. These are two guys who played 14 years in the NFL and understand the game. They are polite and do not berate the callers and are very respectful unlike the other two Cook and Pony. Plus they forgot more about football then these two would ever know.

Next, Stan Savaran is very good and extremely knowledgeable. He's a lot like Tunch and Wolfe and lets his callers voice their opinions and vent unlike the other two.

Problem is that 970's signal doesn't get past the McKees Rocks bridge.

Antonio is the hardest worker on the team, the biggest playmaker, and he wants the ball in key situations instead of curling up in a ball. I'll take 20 more divas just like him.

This man knows

Playoffs!!? Playoffs!!!!?? With Ben out 4 weeks, this team will be lucky to be .500 when he gets back - and Ben's performance after coming back from an injury is not good. I figured this would be a 7-9 season at the beginning, and see nothing to change my mind.

Nothing like coming out with a crappy story like this when the dude has a bad game. Like the first one I can remember in I don't know and it was still better than most of the other receivers on the roster's good day. Surprised he didn't come up with a Miller is done article great journalism.

Agreed. And I'll say this again - Vick only had TWO DAYS of real practice with the 1's - that is certainly not enough time for them to get any chemistry. Don't forget, a left-handers release is very different from a right-handers - and perhaps the launch points, from Vick, look different than AB is used to??? Who knows...they have time before SD to get some sort of chemistry; but, it's gonna take some 8-10 hour days to get that...

This year with this team doesn't bother me going up to Foxboro to play them. If we have a healthy unit they'll have to outscore us...I don't think we lose in a rematch especially if we get Pouncey back and give em a nice mix of run and pass. They wont cover Brown, they cant cover Bryant, Heath or Wheaton consistently.

They were gonna earn HFA anyways...but they don't scare me
