This last Michigan drive had ******* holds galore on it. What ****.
Michigan statistically dominated. They just had too many missed opportunities. That was a good game to watch.
Here's the difference. If Georgia wins the SEC, they are in the playoff. No doubt. If Wisconsin now wins the Big Ten, there's a good shot they get left out just like Ohio State did last year.
That's why the georgia loss is ultimately meaningless. They still control their destiny. Wisconsin's only chance is to win out and hope they face an undefeated Penn State in the Big Ten championship. If they beat Ohio State next week, then they play OSU again and beat them again in the championship, I bet Wisky gets left out of playoffs.
Big difference
Not this **** again. Last year you had 3 unbeaten teams. Bama, Clemson and ND. Then you had OU who lost to Texas by 3 points during the season but then beat them in the conference championship game. So you want to leave who out? ND? They are unbeaten. You want to leave out OU? They were only beaten by 3 points to a team that made the conference championship game. OSU got beat by 29 points to an unranked Purdue. But of course your bias shows and you want to put in the team that got hammered by an unranked team.. typical.
Fact is Wisconsin isn't winning the big 10. They'll get steamrolled next week at OSU. They can't handle IL they sure aren't going to beat OSU on the road. OSU will probably win the big 10 again like they always do and they'll make the playoff this year. So then you can stop crying about them not being there.
I don't know why MIchigan DC Don Brown get all this love. I think he's an idiot. All this guy does is put his DBs in man coverage with no help over the top and then load the box. Apparently it doesn't even matter if that means a Safety lines up on one of the most explosive WRs in college. Nope, that safety is supposed to cover that guy.
This will work at a team like Michigan where you will have more talent that most teams you play so that pressure will just break most college QBs. But what happens when you face a good team? You get blown out because their OL picks up your blitz and they WR torches your dlow footed safety.
As others have said, this game could have been a blowout for Penn State if Clifford connected on a few more of the deep chances that he had over and over.
Talent wise this was an even match. I don't understand why you put your defense in that position
As for Penn State, i still stand by my theory that Franklin sees this as a development year for the future. Even in a big game like this, they stayed dedicated to rotating tons of guys at multiple positions.
Right now Noah Cain is obviously the best RB they have. I think if they just ran the ball with Cain in the second half, they could have won this game easy. But they stay committed to rotating backs and receivers and while it does get lots of guys experience, it also means you don't have that reliable second playmaker after Hamler.
