College Football Week 1

Watching LSU-Clemson. Absolute kudos to teams like Texas and LSU, willing to go on the road against top-flight competition week 1.
That's fine if it works out. Texas knew OSU was losing a lot of talent but they both were starting a new QB. I'm thinking Manning needs to stay in school.

Penn State could probably go 2 TE sets and run for 300+ yards but they're spreading out, running hurry up and throwing the ball. It's good to see them get reps on the passing game rather than just do what it takes to bully a lesser team.

Allar looks sharp.
Yeah, but they didn't cover the spread, even without Nevada's last score. Glad to see some backups getting reps, though. That can't hurt.

Penn State opens with the little sisters of the blind while Texas opens with Ohio State, ND opens with Miami etc.
Why does Penn State do this every year?
I remember how Paterno praised every team he faced, and that was before scholarship limits and the transfer portal gave the smaller schools a shot.

Clemson looks like they are on the way to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. At home.

Announcer - "You don't see many completed passes for -7 yards."

DJfan's mind - "That announcer has never seen a team that doesn't live in its fears."
