Most probably missed that college actually started last weekend with what they are now calling Week 0. I know I missed it. There were only 2 games but one of them was Florida vs Miami which is a marquee game and I didn’t even know it was on last week. Somebody in marketing is bad at their job.

Tonight there are a bunch of games but the best ones are

Thursday

1 Clemson vs Georgia Tech - 8 PM on the new ACC Network - likely the only question this game will answer is whether I get the ACC Network or not. I have no idea.

UCLA at Cincinnati 7PM on ESPN - same time as steelers but could be a good flip to game during commercials. Lots of people predicting a rough year for PAC 12. Cincy is favored. Could be an early black eye loss for PAC.

Utah at BYU 10:15 on ESPN - can’t go wrong with a rivalry game

Friday
Colorado vs Colorado State 10 PM on ESPN - usually a good game
Oklahoma State at Oregon State 10:15 on FS1 - steelers have the Okie State QB and WR, maybe they need a RB or TE to complete the set

Saturday

Idaho at 15 Penn State 3:30 on BTN - likely blowout but first start for QB Sean Clifford replacing McSorley. PSU has tons of young talent, who steps up this year? RB Ricky Slade takes over for Miles Sanders. Slade looked great in limited work last year. Will 5 star WR Justin Shorter finally have a breakout season?

Northwestern at Stanford 4PM on Fox - could be a big game in that whichever team loses will probably be used later to claim that conference doesn’t belong in the playoffs. NW is notorious for horrible early season losses that derail their season. Maybe a big game early gets them ramped up.

3 Georgia at Vanderbilt 7:30 on SEC Network. Likely blowout but still an early season conference game

Virginia at Pitt 7:30 on ACC Network. Virginia should be decent this year.

Game of the Weekend

11 Oregon vs 16 Auburn 7:30 on ABC from Cowboys Stadium. Huge game for the PAC 12. Auburn favored by 3.5 so this should be a good game. Oregon has been recruiting more defense the last few years.

Monday y'all will be talking about UH upsetting OK in Norman....

The U's O-line looks like a hot mess.

******' UCF up 41-0 over FAMU. With only seconds left before the half, UCF with 4th and goal. Kick the 3?? Nope. UCF QB motions to the bench that he wants to stay on the field ... they go for it...they score. I understand that runnin' up the score still counts in this day and age, but really???

I kinda wish I didn't have to leave my house until December

South Dakota State leading Minnesota in the 4th quarter. Minn has a TD on a pick 6 and SDS had a kick return TD called back. SDS could be up big in this game but instead they are only up by 1.

SDS is one of the top ranked FCS teams. These games can be dangerous if the FBS team takes them lightly. It's the biggest game of the year for the FCS team and a whatever game for the FBS team but it can ruin your season if you try to phone it in.

Memphis dominating Ole Miss, although they did just have a TD taken off the board.

Nebraska struggling with S Alabama only up 7 at half.

America's excitement at a fever pitch for Penn State vs Idaho at 3:30

All the bragging of Ohio State at half time, you would think they are playing the number 2 team not FAU.

Boise punching FL State in the mouth with over 250-47 yards in the second half and 2 TD's to take 33-31 lead.

Think you're gonna end up soured by Holgerson Coolie but maybe a change of scenery do him good.

New PSU starter Clifford with some really bad passes on first two drives. Missing at least three wide open receivers.

Ole Miss is going to be bad this year. They played Memphis tougher than I thought they would. I expected they'd be blown out.

Bama is starting to wake up against Duke. Duke is loaded with experience and Bama is loaded with a ton of freshmen. Bama's talent is starting to take over. 14-0 Bama right now.

the downside of PSU defense dominating so much is the offense keeps getting a short field and quick scores. I'd like to see a real drive.

Clifford just looks too amped up. RS Freshman WR Justin Shorter looks good. He was top WR recruit in the nation last year. If he steps up along with big play Hamler, this offense will be tough to stop.

Idaho must have told their P to kick these low line drives on purpose. I thought he just sucked at first but nobody shanks every single punt. It must be on purpose to avoid a Hamler return

Boise takes down Florida State. They shut out FSU in the second half.

PSU DL is destroying Idaho....it's like they are playing a High School team out there.

well he will have a better recruiting area being in Houston...if he can get more local kids to stay home he could build a nice program

So far the freshmen MLB at Bama don't look very freshman like. In related news.... Tua Tagovailoa is the best player in college football and barring injury, will win the Heisman this year.

He's a good football coach I mean he had WVU ranked 6th but off field distractions and inopportune losses to lesser opponents strangled that. I'm a fan and hope he brings y'all up.

Battle of the Carolinas a good one. Muschamp has USC playing good ball. 20-9 end of 3rd.

we were doing well before Herman bailed for UT. Applewhite was a terrible choice as a replacement and the program has dipped again. But still not as low as they were before Art Briles was hired

Rough day for SEC so far. Started with Memphis beating Ole Miss, then South Car loses to North Car and Tenn just lost to Georgia State.

Oregon vs Auburn should be a good one tonight. Auburn starting a true freshman QB and Oregon starting a Heisman candidate at QB. Oregon has been trying to get more physical the last few years. We'll see. Auburn favored by 3.5

gonna be a long season for us Vols fans.
