College Football Bowl Thread

Joe Burrow

7 TD’s, 403 yards. Before halftime.

Hurts is not the runner or passer that Jackson is. Hurts does not handle pressure well. Jackson keeps his eyes downfield or finds a running lane when under pressure. Hurts just kind of runs around.

You should know better than most because he was the weak link on Bama. Hurts can be successful on a great team with everything going his way but if he has to go to plan B, he struggles.

That was a good one!!!

Lincoln Riley's agent calling Jerry Jones at halftime. Try to cash in before the Oklahoma program slowly declines and he ends up coaching at SMU

Maybe this will also put an end of having an Oklahoma QB as Heisman winner or finalist every year. Garbage D League.

Fully expected Oklahoma to get blown out and never be in this game. Did not anticipate Burrow to put up these insane numbers in just one half of play.

Oklahoma checking that transfer portal for their next QB.

Halftime line is now Oklahoma +41.5. Very tempting. LSU will probably play some backups and Oklahoma gets some late points to cover that. Might sit Burrow as well. They should, especially if they get 1 more TD.

The problem with leaving out OU in the playoffs is who you put in. Are you going to take a 2 loss PAC 12 team like Oregon who lost to Arizona St? You had to put OU in there this year. Now next year if you have an undefeated or 1 loss PAC 12 team then they might get the spot.

Burrow still in the game. Where are all the people who were outraged when Tua got hurt in the first half of a game?

That was a good one!!!

is he wrong?

Tell me the difference you see in Lamar Jackson's college football career vs. Jalen Hurts.

Oklahoma has NO OTHER offense other than Hurts and Lamb. Period.

good Lord, could you be any more of a homer? go back and watch lamar jackson's games at Louisville and re-educate yourself. Hurts is not even in the same stratosphere as where Jackson was, absolutely not even close.

I just hope OSU gets steamrolled

It would be awesome. Unfortunately, the way rankings work now, i feel like i must root for OSU because if they lose to Clemson it will somehow affect Penn State's rankings next year.

Clemson is such an unknown. I know they have tons of talent. I heard that Clemson has been routinely playing like 70 guys per game. They have backups with experience so they can just keep rotating fresh guys. Their easy schedule gave them that luxury.

Is Field healthy? If he's wearing a knee brace and can't be as mobile as usual, that takes out a big part of their offense. He doesn't run a bunch but that threat of the run opens up the defense. If he's not a run threat then Clemson can play much more aggressively. They can use more man coverage

I disagree but nothing is wrong w/ your assessment. I'm PRETTY SURE I heard the SAME ANALYSIS today during this game. But, what do I know, I didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn last night...

That Memphis QB was pretty impressive today. Penn State kept getting good pressure and he was able to buy time, keep his eyes downfield and make plays. Most of their big plays were when his mobility meant the secondary had to cover for 5+ seconds and somebody broke free.

They had some damn good players on offense. That WR Coxie is getting drafted. Gainwell will have interest as a 3rd down back. Their other RB looked physical. I'll be interested to see the combine numbers on those guys

geesh 63 points. They have been nice to Oklahoma in playing that soft zone bs letting them dink down the field.

This Clemson vs Ohio State game should be a battle.

It's nice watching games you have zero emotional investment in. Not a good start by Clemson. They certainly need to get a stop on defense this series.

LOU @ KEN hoops game was good. The LSU game was a good old fashion butt kicking.

Hopefully this game is better
