College Football Bowl Thread

Even with the Parsons play, defense still playing way too soft against their receivers.

Be realistic - Memphis' offense rank top 5 in the country. That's what's keeping them in this game. I would have loved to see this offense w/ their all-world TE on the field too...

I saw a lot of talented players on the Memphis side too - #19, #14, #10 - all three WR's could make it to the next level...

ESPN sucks. They had a graphic that said “No team has won CFP title when making CFP debut (excluding 1st year of CFP in 2014.)

If that is the case, then you can’t really say no team making their CFP debut has won the title.

Tape is gonna send you a bag of poop...

In fairness, it is Clifford’s first year as a starter. That said, you expect to see progress and improvement as the season goes on. I didn’t really see that, and it could be argued he regressed as the season went on.

He will be the starter going into spring football next year, but State needs to recruit an upgrade or pick up someone off the transfer portal.

Oklahoma and LSU about to kick it off.

LSU made that look easy.

I'm back - had to do laundry....

I just saw the BLANTANT PI from LSU - wow. Just gave them a 7 point swing...terrible officiating.

Peach bowl is the first college game I see this season, Burrow has serious talent.

Come again? It was probably stupid for them to even qualify their statement, but in the first year of the CFP every team playing would have been making their “CFP debut”.

Anyone know how many different teams have played in the CFP?

i don't love Clifford but i defended him because he was a new starter. He did have some great moments, but he played through injuries and the WRs aside from Hamler let him down over and over.

This game was so frustrating to watch. Just run the dam ball. It was so blatantly obvious that Memphis had no chance at all to stop the run.

Bowl games are not always just about winning. Sometimes you are working on things for next year. I think they wanted to build some confidence in the passing game for next year. They could have started by giving the RT some help against a DE he clearly couldn't handle.

Penn State's new OC was at the game and they said he was texting recruits during the game. He should be texting some Wrs and telling them they can start immediately over the guys they currently have with feet for hands.

PSu has been recruiting OL heavily. Thing is, OL takes time to develop. They have had to start guys before they were ready. Now they are finally building some depth where guys should be starting as Juniors and Seniors and not as freshmen.

They do have several QBs on the roster. All with dual threat ability. I expect there will be competition next year but Clifford may win the job again.

#44 is ejected for being a retard. How do you think you will get away with that? In the open field too. Oklahoma already has 3 guys suspended and now one more. This game is probably over already. Oklahoma had to play a great game to stay in this and they look timid.
