College Football 12/1

But for ND it's a double edge sword. One loss and they have no way back in. They virtually have to go undefeated to make the final four. If they lose a game a one loss team that won a conference is certainly taking their place.

Two consecutive unbeaten years and UCF deserves a spot, period the end. They won their bowl against an elite program last year and will do so again. They deserve a chance. They don’t even miss a beat with their second QB. This isn’t the NFL.

This whole process sucks and it’s all just a subjective beauty pageant with no consistent or objective criteria. Tape nailed it earlier. It’s ridiculous.

**** Oklahoma, **** Ohio State.. put in UCF who hasn’t lost a game since 2016

And the Big Ten can be realigned. Just trade the Michigan’s to the other division for two teams from there, change the names from East/West if you have to so you’re not worried about the geography making sense. And make sure each team has a “designated crossover” game so you preserve OSU-Mich playing every year. Simple. It’s ******* ridiculous that the 3rd or 4th best B1G East team would easily win the west, or maybe even some other conferences

In Dallas about to head to the silly Museum, not stadium, to watch my Texas Longhorns play OU--nervous as a cat.
Great slate of games today.
Hope Pitt can keep it close and Northwestern can somehow send Urban into retirement.
Before I left Vegas, I played Pitt and Northwestern plus the points and Bama/Georgia under
think most likely we are looking at Bama, Clemson , ND and Urban in the final four. OU has a beef if they handle Texas today

Went 1-2 on my bets, the Texas OU game was awesome to attend, As a Texas alum, thought a lot of the officiating was very poor Ou needs to get the 4th spot

LOL you've got to be ******** me? What ******* conference is Penn St or Michigan St. going to win? Sure as hell ain't the SEC, ACC or obviously the Big 10. They wouldn't beat OU so there goes the Big 12. The PAC-12 was down this year but they wouldn't win it either. I guess they might have a chance in the AAC? But I don't see them beating UCF so there goes that.

Dude. Big 10 East and West.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma
5. Georgia
6. Ohio State

Oklahoma is only the second team to reach the College Football Playoff with a Strength of Record outside of the top 4. Ohio State in 2014 was the other instance.

I figured the committee would make this decision. ND is going to get pummeled by Clemson. Bama should outscore OU.

Bama MUST BE READY for OU's speedy QB. I hope to see less press coverage and a QB spy to keep that offense under wraps. Offensively, we should be able to gash them...

Bama just needs a few stops. Their defense isn't good. I don't care how they did against Texas after they had played them before. I've seen them all year and they can be horrible at times and decent only a couple of times. Bama needs to put up as many points as they can.

I don't see how ND even stays in the game against Clemson. Their DL is NFL caliber.

This expert committee cries foul when team did not play championship game yet you pick ND. UCF is good enough to be ranked with the so called big boys but goes undefeated and wins as they did in their championship game and gets zero consideration. It is scam to get big name teams in no matter if they fit the so called eye test.

They have to go to an 8 team playoff....5 power five conference winners and 3 at-large. It's a coin toss between OSU and OU and UCF gets screwed again even without their QB.

Dude.. he said "Other conferences". How many conferences are in the Big 10? East and West are divisions not conferences.

Penn state would win the Pac12. I think they would win the big 12 also. They’d be second best team in ACC. I think they would have finished second in either SEC division.

They do ,they just need to schedule non conference games against power 5 schools

thats BS. Because there simply aren’t enough “good” teams for non power 5 teams to play. Not even every power 5 team is seen as a quality opponent.

What if UCF had beaten say South Carolina and Michigan State? They’d say who cares, they weren’t that good this year.

And what if a team like Tulsa has a big year? It’s simply not possible for every single FBS team to play a schedule deemed tough enough. Hell, if notre dame wasn’t undefeated they would have been left out because of schedule. There’s lots of people even. Kw saying Georgia or Ohio State are more deserving than ND.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You're fricken' drunk!!! Penn St. would get MURDERED in the SEC. Go ahead and set that up - while you're at it - move the Browns to the AFC East and the *'s to the AFC North...

Bullshit...LOL... wow 2nd in the SEC? You on crack? Penn St. can't handle the SEC schedule. Your jealously is causing brain trauma. They'd be lucky to be 4th in the West division. We'll see how well they do against an average SEC team in Kentucky in the bowl game. Kentucky finished 3rd in the east. Which is the weak side of the SEC. I'm sure Penn St. will blown them out since they are such a great team.

Penn St. had to go to OT to beat App st. and got blown out by Michigan. Syracuse is better than Penn ST. They lost to 2 of the 3 in the playoff. Clemson and ND. I'm not sure they are better than NC State who had the same record and only lost to Clemson, Syracuse and Wake.

They might get close in the PAC-12 but so would half of the SEC teams. The idea that the Big 10 is some dominant conference is laughable. Hell they can't even get in a playoff game because they keep getting blown out by 30 points during the year.

Vandy can beat Penn St. this year...and probably next year too...

The idea that the Big 10 is some dominant conference is laughable.

So is the idea that the SEC is. See the bowl record last year. The polls are a shame, inflating SEC's SOS, with artificially inflated rankings every year. Play OOC schedules that have true home and away games and quit the B.S. FCS games to inflate wins.

I wonder how many pages it will take to get this all sorted out.

Penn State and Auburn signed a home and home series in 20/21 I think and the lions also added West Virginia and Virginia Tech so you can't say they are not at least trying.
