College Football 12/1

Neither OSU or Georgia are going to get in the 4th spot will go to Oklahoma. Losing by 29 to Purdue sunk OSU this year thank god.

Whoops meant to type OU.
It'll be a toss up between OU and UGA.

Only thing is will the committee factor in the strength of the opponents played today.
Alabama, Clemson and ND are in for sure.

Oklahoma won their conference and beat a very good team to avenge their only loss of the season. Georgia lost their second game and choked away a 14 point lead they are toast.

To be fair shouldn't they put in Bama, Clemson, ND and UCF? They are all undefeated right. Why put a one loss OSU when you have an unbeaten out there right?

Glad to see pitt woke up. score here and make it a game

The thing that the rest of college football fans don't understand is that in the SEC, we rally behind the SEC champs when the playoffs start. That's brings better recruits to the SEC and it will keep our conference as the BEST FOOTBALL CONFERENCE in college football!!!

Great game, Georgia - maybe we'll see you in the Championship game for a rematch?

Oh, we get it. We just don’t respect it.

I would be OK with that if UCF’s QB wasn’t injured.

It tells you a lot about a conference when the best you can come up with is a 4 loss Northwestern and a 5 loss Pittsburgh. At least Bama played a real championship game against a 1 loss team.

28-10 Clemson.... big surprise. 24-7 OSU... big surprise.

Hey they won their conference game and they are undefeated. Can't go by injuries because they beat Memphis without him. Would you take Clemson out if their QB got hurt in this game?

Such poor coaching by Narduzzi at the end of the half. He's got to know he has a QB who can't throw the ball and a OC who can't scheme or call a good play in the passing game.

It’s because the Big Ten’s #1 priority is that Ohio State and Michigan play every year on the last weekend at noon. So they have their best teams in the same division.

Wisconsin probably would have won their division if their QB didn’t get hurt.

Split them up and they could still play every year, just one week later and in a dome.

You misunderstand my view on the playoffs. I think it’s a sham, so when i say i want UCF in there, it’s not because i think they are one of the 4 best.

This committee is a sham. They have no set criteria. That much is obvious. One year conference championship means everything when they want to exclude the Big 12 champ, next year it doesn’t mean ****.

I hate this dog and pony show that is supposed to sell us on accepting the 4 pre-picked teams.

So, if Clemson’s QB got hurt and we are really picking 4 best then you bet your *** i’d leave them out because Kelly Bryant transferred so i would not pick a team with a 3rd string QB to go to the playoff.

But my main concern is there must be a system where every single FBS team has a legitimate chance to win it all. This current committe is blatantly exclusionary. UCF is proving that point. There’s literally nothing they could do to get in the playoff.

If you insist on limiting the field to only 4 teams then those 4 should all be conference champs. That way each conference serves as a playoff system. You shouldn’t be giving out second chances when some teams never get a first chance.

I don't think it's even possible, but would like to see the non-power 5 schools make their own playoff. As you said, they could go 12-0, win their conference championship game, and shut out every opponent along the way and not one of them has a chance at a title.

nope, not good enough for the Big Ten. It has to be the traditional matchup, last weekend and at noon. These idiots won’t even play it at night to showcase it. It’s also monumentally stupid to play it last week. If they play that game mid season, it gives the loser weeks to recover in the rankings.

My guess for how they rank them tonight. Let's see if I'm a nostradumbass.

#1 bama
#2 Clemson
#3 Oklahoma
#4 notre dame
#5 Georgia
#6 osu
#7 ucf
#8 mich
#9 Washington
#10 florida

how i'd rank them for a 8 team playoff
#1 bama
#2 Clemson
#3 Oklahoma
#4 osu
#5 ucf
#6 Washington
#7 georgia
#8 notre dame

We need a 8 team playoff. It only adds 1 extra week of games. **** you notre dame join a conference already. You're only on my list cause you didn't lose. Conference champs should carry more weight.
