College Bowl Thread

Define nimble.

Quick feet in close quarters, can change direction and make people miss, right on cur he rips off another long run when there was noting there .Yet then again you think Derick Henry is nimble when he is nothing but a huge physical mismatch who runs over and away from people with little to no wiggle. Henry is one of the stiffest most upright runners in league history.

Going into the game I thought Lawrence was can't miss. Some things got exposed tonight. He looked way more gangly and awkward then he ever has. His release looked long. But that said he likely gets a big mulligan. They couldn't block and his play caller was out. They seemed to have no rhythm or overall game plan. Still glad he isn't coming to the AFC North. However, I have some fear the Pats will land a QB.

Clemson's D was atrocious. I don't see Lawrence taking a stock hit. I think his release looked like many games past. I don't see bust on the kid. I dunno maybe a solid QB not a superstar is his floor. We'll see.

You Buckeye haters can eat ****.

The Bucks were a couple of bad play calls and a tipped pass INT from hanging 60 on Clemson. 639 total yards!

Sermon looked like a nobody all year, now has 524 rushing yards in 2 games against damn good defenses.

I don't know if Chris Olave is going to be a high draft pick, but he'd be a great JuJu replacement. Super smooth, gets open, great hands, makes the tough catches in traffic and is a deep threat. I know, we need an o-line instead. There's always Garret Wilson next year, who might be even better.

I don't know about Fields. I've seen him look great and also not so great. He could be a bust. He could be Russel Wilson. I know he is smart and a good character guy, and apparently is pretty damn tough.

Trevor Lawrence is great. I was still scared of the funny looking SOB up by 4 TDs with 11 minutes left. No way he isn't the first overall pick, and an immediate improvement to whatever bad team he goes to.

Me too. They didn't play enough games in my opinon. The Big Ten ****** up and they should lay in that bed.

I suppose it is far too much to ask that Ohio State beat Alabama, but it’s what I’m hoping for. Truth of the matter is, every year Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State are in the top 4, and Alabama or Clemson usually win it all. Just makes it less interesting year over year. But whatever. If OSU can play as well as they did last night, should be a really interesting game. Guess we’ll see in a week.....

Yeah, I'm with you Sarge. I just want a good game. OSU played very well last night and should give Bama more a of challenge than ND did. I like giving OSU fans hell, they get so sensitive.

T-Bone steak, collard greens and mashed potatoes for dinner. A bottle of Johnnie Walker Black for dessert. A Buckeye win to sleep on. 2021 is starting out very nice.
Congrats Buckeye! Your win was definitely unforseen but the better team obviously won the game!

To all, my apologies for the drunk comments last night.

Ohio State sure did prove they belonged last night. A total beat down of Clemson. Hopefully, they play like that against Alabama and it will be a great championship game. Definitely, the 2 best teams are in it this year. I was actually very surprised Ohio State shut down Etienne like they did. If they can do that to Najee, look out! And, Fields needs to show up like he did last night and not like he did in the Big Ten Championship where he looked average, at best.

It was New Years Day, if you didn’t have pork and sauerkraut, your good luck might be ending.

Ate pork rinds during the early Cinci/Georgia game. And had a spoonful of sauerkraut before I ate my steak. Just a spoonful cause I hate that stuff.
