College Bowl Thread

Being a Notre Dame fan I was happy with the performance overall. Alabama is what I expected, loaded with NFL talent. Three Heisman candidates on offense is an embarrassment of riches. Notre Dame just never had a replacement for Chase Claypool. They do have a lot of talent coming back and coming in. The shortcomings at WR and CB are what they are. Mayer @ TE, Williams @ RB are both Freshmen. Pyne @QB is a Freshman. Hamilton @ S is a Sophomore. The difference in recruiting is clear Alabama playing with 5 stars everywhere and Notre Dame playing with a few four stars and three stars. I would love for Surtain, Leatherwood, Harris, also No#6 LB ND (not spelling it), and Eichenberg on the board for the Steelers. Tommy Tremble the ND tight end who got hurt tonight should be available in the later rounds. Fantastic blocker and not a bad receiver either. Can't say enough about Ian Book. Just a gamer. Congrats to Alabama. Unless they beat themselves they aren't losing.

Fields is broken in half right now and all Clemson has to worry about is Sermon and he's destroying that defense right now.

Fields stock is going to rise after this game. He could even jump Lawrence for number one spot or settle in at number two spot at worse.

He's not going to jump Lawrence, but his stock cooled enough that he was off the No. 2 pick. If I'm the Jets, I try to strike a deal with Atlanta and then draft Wilson at No. 4. I don't think Miami is going to take a QB--though they could--and a team may jump ahead of Atlanta to secure Fields. I have a feeling Miami will want to get one of those stud receivers and they can get one in that 5-8 range.

For someone that was speared in the side, Fields is throwing and running like he was faking...

I hope he's ok, but he's acting like he's in more pain than when Ben throws a pick after taking a big hit.

Bull crap targeting call... shame on you refs...

He made zero attempt to see what he was hitting. Regardless of what the runner did it was a reckless hit. The linebacker is damn lucky he wasn't leaving the building on a stretcher himself. First thing you teach a tackler is you better not see grass only at contact. It was an easy call actually.

Miami will take Deonta. Rejoining Tua with his favorite target...

Ridiculous call! Fields spun right into that hit

And what does that have to do with Skalsi leading with the crown of his helmet?

Ryan Shazier needs to have a talk with Skalsi about the perils of tackling like that.

He's big but not as nimble as Najee. I don't think he's as nimble as Derrick Henry. Which means that it won't translate well in the NFL...

I wasn't talking as a high pick more of a depth type. Same for Ruck as we could use depth at both TE and RB. Najee would be a 1st round option.

I did not see that but ok...

Man this game turned on my draft light. Little more anxious for the draft now.

If the QB doesn't spin we're not having this discussion.
