Colbert ok with Big Ben calling out players on the radio.

The first rule of leadership: a real man does not talk **** about anyone or anything on his team in public. Behind closed doors you can man-up and say things straight in a face-to-face. To do otherwise will make your teammates lose respect for you. Ben is currently suffering from this loss.

A true leader can say it face to face and still throw out constructive criticism on a radio show. Players that can't handle it are suffering from pussification and are walking around with built in female shoulder pads. Yes they should turn in their man cards because they are soft as ****.

This isn't rah-rah college ball anymore. You're an f'n PROFESSIONAL. It's your JOB. If you can't handle Ben then you really couldn't play under Darth Hoodie up in New England, who not-so-coincidentally wins a whole lot more than we do.

He's 100% correct. Ben has every right to call people out when they aren't doing what they are supposed to. He calls himself out too when he plays ******. If they can't handle it, that's their problem. The divas are dissapearing one by one anyway, so hopefully they will get back to playing like a team. I have no problem with Ben doing that whenever he sees fit.

Really, are you an expert on this as in experience??? YOU don't know what is said and NOT said in the locker room. How many times and in what method it has been said. ALL things are available to a leader if it makes the team better. You can't judge either way. What little BEN has said towards others has BEN himself, blamed himself ten fold. BEN ROETHLISBERGER is the by far less problem than the Mr. Big Checks and thus the trading block for the cancerous one.

Can I get a breakdown of all of the times Ben threw his teammate under the bus? Is it any worse than a QB blowing up on his teammates on the sidelines in front of millions of TV viewers?

you'll never get that, because alot here are like the national media, they hear one person say Ben throws his teammates under the bus, then they just say it like it's the absolute truth and make it sound like he does it weekly. When anyone that ACTUALLY listens to his show or his post game pressers knows that's a flat our lie, but hey that doesn't fit the narrative that Ben is a bad leader and big meanie head to poor AB, so let's run with the Ben calls his teammates out in public all the time.

I'm assuming you don't listen to a damn thing local to Pittsburgh when it comes to the Steelers? The guys that actually cover the team, Bouchette, Cook, Colony, etc. have all said Ben talks with guys privately after every game, Washington for example, he talked him up after that big drop privately.

Man, it is unreal how much the national media hates Ben. I just can't believe how much **** is being talked about him when this whole situation has nothing to do with him. They find any reason to **** on Ben, I just don't understand the hate. I am really sick of it though. The more AB continues to act like a *****, the more hate Ben gets. Everyone seems to be taking the side of the ***** for some bizarre reason. Jeff Saturday is now taking shots at Colbert for sticking up for Ben lol.. unreal.

The GM just said that the QB has 52 kids underneath him...

That sh*t is incredibly disrespectful, and it also gives some merit to AB's frustration.

I'm not excusing AB's recent mental breakdown, but Colbert's interview was entirely tone deaf and could further alienate players in the locker room.
Ridiculous thing to say about a professional football team. Ben has 52 kids under him? Who wouldn't be insulted by that ****.

I'm sure that's true. Ben also like to tell reporters that he talks to them privately.

Because he gets ripped for not doing it, when he does in fact do it.

Ben stood up at halftime in front of the team at the jags game and said he played like **** in the first half and he needs to step up, and everyone else step up and win this game. You don't hear anything about that nationally, it's only the negative made up ****.

Lol.. what a huge insult to call a 23-26 year old a kid. Looking at most of their instagram pages, the word kid fits them perfectly. If that's an insult then maybe they need to grow up a little.

Brown has been acting up for a while.
Yes, Coach but according to your "treat the stars with a little more leniency" approach, his acting up shouldn't be a concern because he's honestly the most productive guy on the roster. I mean he got nearly as many catches and yards as JuJu who was NOT double covered on every snap.

So, based on your concept of providing "star" players with preferential treatment (which it is now clear is EXACTLY how CMVLT runs things) things couldn't unfold any differently than they did.

Tomlin decided to pull out some "tough love" and make a decision that any rational person wouldn't have thought twice about, but again, we now know from context that he generally doesn't discipline his stars. So out of the blue, Tomlin is now disciplining Brown for things he's allowed to happen in the past. and THEN the media narrative is that Brown somehow gave up on his team when really from Browns (obviously incorrect) perspective he just had a fairly normal week.

No. If you aren't consistent you will get inconsistent results. This is true of manufacturing, managing and pissing in the snow.

We disagree.

I personally ha e no problem with anything Colbert said except calling the other players kids. His comment in itself creates discord. If Ben is the leader he’s the leader and nobody needs to say anything. I get that Colbert was probably trying to defend Ben because of all the negativity thrown his way but by that one comment it backed up what Brown has said about Ben and the leadership.

Yes, that one comment makes AB look like the smart one in all this now... what a rational, intelligent player he is.

Never said he was rational or intelligent. All I’m saying is it makes it look at part of what he said as the truth. In all honesty may help our cause to getting more compensation for him. All we need is another team that thinks that team chemistry was the problem and they have a better environment for AB to do better.

damn, has everyone gone over board on the sensitivity now? Colbert wasn't saying everyone else is childish, Ben is 37 the next closest player is what 31, I don't know for sure, but he was saying that Ben is so much older than everyone else in the locker room age and years in the league, he needs some of the younger guys to step up and help lead.

As long as AB doesn't start going off about wanting a new contract, there will be a team or teams that think they can handle his drama. You're getting a top 3 WR if not the best WR in the game at an amazing bargain and at no threat to your cap, just salary, no guaranteed money, and if he acts like an *** during the season, you can cut him with no cap implications.
His salary is just over 12 million, so at a 12 million cap hit you're getting the best WR at the going rate of like the 15th highest paid WR. It only takes one team. Oakland gave us a 3rd for ******* Bryant who had one good season and was a failed test away from a year suspension.

Like I said several times we should be able to see a 1 given if not more..

That is what the meeting with ART Duece was all about, it was a reminder to AB that big **** will happen if he doesn't STFU.
