Coach's AFC call.
This is going to be a very hard season to predict. There is Covid-19 and political distractions. I also think guys will be more injury prone as players need to get their body into football shape. That happens with a full contact camp and preseason games.
Having said that, here's how I see the AFC
AFC East
*New England. 11-5. They still have Napoleon as their coach.
Buffalo. 9-7. A pretty good team, but I don't see Allen as a playoff QB you want under center
Miami. 6-10. Early reports say Tua isn't close to NFL ready. Bad OL, DL. Lack of playmakers
NY Jets. 4-12. Delt their best defensive player away. A mess in too many areas.
AFC North
*Baltimore. 11-5. I hate to say it, but they are well balanced on offense and defense and better coached then we are. There is a chance the league figure Lamar Jackson out.
*Pittsburgh 10-6. The defense should be very good. The offense above average with Ben back assuming he's healthy. I just don't see as many turnovers this year.
CIncinnati. 7-9. I am a Joe Burrow believer, and don't underestimate his leadership ability on a team that hasn't had any in years.
Cleveland 6-10. Below average on offense and defense, plus they turn the ball over too much, Sooner or later, they will realise Mayfield is not the long term answer. Still can't believe he was the 1st pick.
AFC South
*Tennessee 10-6. A pretty good overall team. Gritty. Old School. Well coached without many stars.
*Indianapolis 9-7 - I like their defense and think they found a stud RB in the draft.
Houston 7-9. I think they were crazy to pay Watson that much. Kills the cap space. The defense is shaky here.
Jacksonville 3-13. Perhaps the worst team in the NFL.
AFC West
*Kansas City 13-3. The best team in the NFL. Mahones is special. Reid top notch as a coach. The easy pick to win the super bowl.
*Denver 9-7. If things break right and Lock is the real deal, Denver cold shock people. They were 4-1 with Lock Starting at QB last year.
Las Vegas. 6-10 While the new stadium looks fantastic, the players on the field for the defense really suck.
Los Angeles Chargers. 5-11 A tough team to read, I think they will miss Rivers and struggle badly at Quarterback.
Playoff seeds
#1 Kansas City
#2 Baltimore
#3 New England
#4 Tennessee
#5 Pittsburgh
#6 Denver
#7 Indianapolis
