Coach's AFC call.

This is going to be a very hard season to predict. There is Covid-19 and political distractions. I also think guys will be more injury prone as players need to get their body into football shape. That happens with a full contact camp and preseason games.

Having said that, here's how I see the AFC

AFC East

*New England. 11-5. They still have Napoleon as their coach.

Buffalo. 9-7. A pretty good team, but I don't see Allen as a playoff QB you want under center

Miami. 6-10. Early reports say Tua isn't close to NFL ready. Bad OL, DL. Lack of playmakers

NY Jets. 4-12. Delt their best defensive player away. A mess in too many areas.

AFC North

*Baltimore. 11-5. I hate to say it, but they are well balanced on offense and defense and better coached then we are. There is a chance the league figure Lamar Jackson out.

*Pittsburgh 10-6. The defense should be very good. The offense above average with Ben back assuming he's healthy. I just don't see as many turnovers this year.

CIncinnati. 7-9. I am a Joe Burrow believer, and don't underestimate his leadership ability on a team that hasn't had any in years.

Cleveland 6-10. Below average on offense and defense, plus they turn the ball over too much, Sooner or later, they will realise Mayfield is not the long term answer. Still can't believe he was the 1st pick.

AFC South

*Tennessee 10-6. A pretty good overall team. Gritty. Old School. Well coached without many stars.

*Indianapolis 9-7 - I like their defense and think they found a stud RB in the draft.

Houston 7-9. I think they were crazy to pay Watson that much. Kills the cap space. The defense is shaky here.

Jacksonville 3-13. Perhaps the worst team in the NFL.

AFC West

*Kansas City 13-3. The best team in the NFL. Mahones is special. Reid top notch as a coach. The easy pick to win the super bowl.

*Denver 9-7. If things break right and Lock is the real deal, Denver cold shock people. They were 4-1 with Lock Starting at QB last year.

Las Vegas. 6-10 While the new stadium looks fantastic, the players on the field for the defense really suck.

Los Angeles Chargers. 5-11 A tough team to read, I think they will miss Rivers and struggle badly at Quarterback.

Playoff seeds

#1 Kansas City
#2 Baltimore
#3 New England
#4 Tennessee
#5 Pittsburgh
#6 Denver
#7 Indianapolis

I think Buffalo wins the AFC East, also the Steelers whoop raven's *** and get the division title, The AFC south should be a tight battle between the top 3

I agree that Buffalo is going to win that division.

I'm picking the STEELERS to win the AFCN as well. Coach says the rats are better coached but currently I'll have to differ. Yes in the past we were out coached but lately SBWCMVLT has stepped up on to the field of play and has shown some coaching moxi. I also know that our "D" has to prove their greatness but so does Lamar and in that chess match I'll take our "D" for the win.

jackson is not that hard to figure out...keep him in the pocket and he struggles....

Since we lost to the Ravens twice last year ( once with Jackson at quarterback ) , maybe you can tell that to Tomlin.

AFC East
BUF
NE - Still a dangerous team but the offense is not all that scary anymore. With several opt outs on a solid D from last year, I think the team struggles more than people think they will. Still, a very weak division so they finish second.
MIA
NYJ

AFC North
PIT - definitely Baltimore's division to lose, but I think this D is more than fast enough to get after Jackson this year and with an Offense that looks to be able to score some points now that Ben is back, I think we retake the division. The one thing that concerns me is the start of our schedule has some tough games and if we come out slow, playing catch up will be hard. That said, I think there is a good chance we 3-0 going into the tilt with the ****. Plus, I don't bet against my guys.
BAL - tought team, but a year of tape and defensive coaches thinking about Jackson, they will have a tougher time. Jackson is a great player, but he will regress to the mean a bit more this year.
CLE - with all that talent, even the clowns can not help but win a few.
CIN - They have nothing

AFC South
TEN - as long as Henry is healthy, they will batter teams with him.
IND - tough call between IND and HOU. Think Indy will surprise some teams.
HOU
Jax - they are Losing for Lawrence.

AFC West
KC - no brainer
DEN - even with the injury to Von Miller, the defense is tough and the rest of the div looks weak.
LV - Not much on defense, but may score a few on offense.
LAC - They could overtake LV for third in the division, I just don't see much from this team though.

and jackson only played in the 1st game....he threw for 161 yards with a TD and 3 picks....he did run for 70 yards...if the Steelers had contained his running better and had a real QB that game they likely win easily

week 17 jackson sat out and the ravens ran the ball down the steelers throat....

I think we have a chance to win the division. I don't think the Rats can remain injury-free like last year and sting together two good years in a row.

AFC North
Ravens 12-4 they're loaded and dangerous on offense and the D is good enough. This team can regularly score 27-28 a game, and that's easily enough to win this division.
Steelers 9-7 Not loaded on offense. The running game is just not a strength and that's also on the coaching and WR is a big ? Defense will need to be this teams calling card, but can they be as good as last year? I'll take it that the offense will be better, 20 points a game which a healthy BB shouldn't be hard. I expect the D will take a step back (turnovers/picks/sacks), but will still be top 5. They had such an epic year in those regards it would be tough to expect that again.
Browns 8-8. I think Baker plays better this year w/better coaching, plus the expectations won't be so daunting. They have very nice offensive talent (Upside) so we'll see how that gels this year. Defensively, they have issues, but the return of Garrett keeps them a little more competitive .500 wouldn't shock me.
Bengals 4-12. A rookie QB and a **** ton of issues. 4 wins would and should give people some hope.

I hope for Tuitt to stay healthy he should help upgrade the run defense.

Solid predictions, Coach. I'll be a homer and take the Steelers to win the AFC North. The Titans are an interesting team because they are well-coached and have a solid roster, but they also don't feel like a real threat in the AFC, even if they get a top 3 seed.

The AFC East is hard to read. New England lost a lot and you don't know how healthy Cam is. However, they always find a way to get it done. I'd like to think Miami will win 7-9 games and Buffalo should be in position to win the division this year. I like Josh Allen and want him to be good. They have a nice group of weapons for him and a good head coach. All of these teams just need to get over that mental hurdle of beating New England.

The AFC East has two terrible teams the Jets and Dolphins. Buffalo was a good story last season, but I don't think Allen is good enough to make the players around him better. The question mark is New England without Brady.

I think Newton if he buys into the system, guides New England to win the AFC East...Again. Belichick if he gets to a super bowl without Brady will separate himself from just about any head coach I can think of. He just prepares his team to win, putting his players in the exact right spot where they can shine, and seldom has mistakes.

Tom Brady summed it up best when asked, who was the best quarterback you ever played against in the AFC East? His answer, Chad Pennington.

Of course you like you some billacheat too. **** that cheating *** coach and team.

If Belichick gets to the SB down 7 defensive starters from last year and without Tom Brady and a single elite offensive player then something smells between either the NFL or what that team is actually doing and I'm done with it.

I don't like him, but I wish he was our coach. We'd have 2 more super bowls with him.

Are you going to make prediction on the AFC slash?

The ONLY way we would have 2 more SBs with him coaching is if our Front office / owners agreed to his inupulative ******* cheating that he has been found guilty of several times. He continues and has an owner who is just as ******* manipulative in the less than desirable cheating ******* human being class that they both are in.

SO

**** the cheating MASShole fans, their entire organization and yes, you get a special spot for even insinuating ******* Billicheat being a STEELERS coach, coach.

He would cheat if he was here, I don't want to win that way.

My AFC prediction? Pain! Think Mr.T

The Steelers D lays down the pain and they squeak past the rats to reign AFC north supreme. (Provided Ben stays healthy)

Chiefs are still the team to beat, but a long season. Teams start off one way and end another often. Tennessee is a good looking underdog. Cheats will be in it because well they will continue to cheat. Ernie is still employed.

Big Ben can will a good team far, this might be the best team depth wise the Steelers have had in a long time. I will maintain if they can't do it this year then it just isn't going to happen again for awhile.

Cross your fingers for good health and we shall see.

I can give that a thumbs up.
