Sure. I’m happy for Cow-her. But what are the criteria for a coach. I contend that being an analyst on TV elevates ones chances of getting into the Hall sooner vs later. Kurt Warner, Dungy, et al.
Look,I get that there will always be comparisons. It’s inevitable. To me it’s about respect. The man just made it in the HOF. Let’s make it about him. When CMT gets in,I would show him the same courtesy.
Not gonna lie, when I saw that live on TV it was a little emotional for me as well. Now,on to my favorite coaches moments. When we finally got over that hump for coaches SB win, when he held up the trophy with his late wife and kids on the field,it still brings
tears to my eyes. Incredible day. My other fav was the win against Indy in the playoff run. To me,might have been the greatest coached Steeler game of all time. Nobody gave us a snowballs chance in hell. The great Manning at home against the team that just squeaked in to the playoffs. It was going to be a smoke show. Everyone expected run, run, and more run. Coach opened it up like no other. Pass.pass and more pass. Big Ben was on fire.
That first half was one of the most incredible offensive game plan ever coached. Total domination. We had a 21-3 lead in the 3rd quarter. Then Bill did what he liked to do. With a lead he got a little conservative. He loved to pound that rock. Especially when people knew you would and could. Until Jerome’s fumble,it really was a perfect game, that should have iced it with no time and an extra 7 points. But **** happens. I think that game was probably the wildest, most emotional game in Steelers history for me. When Jerome fumbled, Vanderidiot missed FG,truly heart attack moments. People forget how much of an underdog we were in that game.
Let’s make the thread about him. I mean how many other teams don’t have one coach in the HOF? Congrats Bill! Your favorite moments?
