He's coaching LBs...

The guys have to do their job, but they clearly aren't always doing it with all of the confusion on the field. LeBeau's defenses were so good because the defensive line played assignment football. Now they want those guys getting active it it results in some open holes when defending the run and the back end of the defense isn't good enough to recover.

Sounds like he got into Martavius' stash of weed.

please bring in rex and change the scheme

I think the whole thing is learning to play with each other. And they’re starting to do that, I think.”

One of the dumbest D coordinators ever. And his buddy in crime is right up there with him.

then why is Bud is still starting

Do we have practice today?

You know that middle of the field thingy? All of the cool defenses cover that. This other cool neato defensive idea doesn't have linebackers covering top wideouts.... super bowl!

'Hey Moe, hey Moe. Woop, woop, woop, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!"

I’m not going to try to make myself look good at the cost of the team and giving up yards and stuff like that. That’s the biggest thing that we’ve gotta do with the defense, I think.”

Who in the actual **** is doing THiS??? That is the biggest problem with the defense? That is what the man said!

At this point Coach...I would settle coaching them to just win one game.

Remember the waning years of LeBeau's storied career, there were folks all wee-wee'd up that we might lose Butler if they didn't push LeBeau out the door and hand the D to Butler before some lucky team signed him?

Yeah, well 90% of Steeler fans felt that way at the time.

And it certainly appears we made a huge assumption error. Unless some type of magical **** happens this year you can count me in the clean house wagon. They need to be refreshed and brought back to the identity they've always been known for. Which was incredibly successful.
