Bunch of ******* ******* around here!!!!

AB sabotaged any chance of compensation with his words and actions. I just believe the vast majority of the owners that had the cash and draft picks to be in play evaluated the scenarios and felt he was heading down the same path as T.O. All of his interviews were bizarre , I think his head is ******. As far as Bell goes, you'll never convince me the reason he didnt report is he was clean. I'd lay money he was smoked up and wouldnt pass the test. Hell, he posted a pic of a video games with some ganja on his TV stand. Good riddance to both. I give AB 6 games before he's running his **** sucker about not getting enough passes thrown his way.

Art ****** the meeting with AB.
He did not get a gag order, did not express the Steeler need for a calm negotiation, and got ****** by an illiterate guy with a Twitter account.
And the return to Steelers was **** and public humiliation.
Bell was better in terms of evolution, but the end result of a a third, next year, and the loss of Bell last year is simply a **** return on another star player.
More loss of face for the vaunted Steeler Nation.

The minute they accepted the view that there was 'no other alternative except to drop him at any cost', and let that become their public message, they forfeited all negotiating leverage with the rest of the league. A competent executive would never cede that negotiating high ground.

In the process, they've lost control of the team, they lost the respect of their fans and the league, and they lost a very good wide receiver!

Admitting the problem is the first step. Steelers management and coaches got played!

This, for all you "There's nothing else they could do." Lemmings. He had ZERO leverage. He wasn't Bell, he is 30 and had multiple years left on his deal. The Steelers management just showed every star on their roster the blue print to get what ever they want out of them. If you're good with that, good for you. It's nonsense. As for suspending him? Four games a pop. He's too ******* stupid to show up after four games with no pay and behave. He'd give you grounds again, guaranteed. The minute the owner crumbled in public we were done. He's a garbage *** teammate, but he's far from the only one we had, or still have.

Nothing anyone can do about it now. It's on ownership and management not to **** up the used jock strap level picks they got for him, and go out and sign some free agents who can help for a change. It's ridiculous. Tomlin's another level of issue, but they aren't addressing that any time soon anyways. Save the super fan rah rah **** for someone else. Folks can disagree about how it all went down and neither opinion makes someone some kind of better fan. At the end of the day, until free agency and the draft play out we have no idea what this team will be. So why act like anyone has any idea what we're dealing with? I have a good feeling about Washington stepping up, he can't replace AB, but he has talent, he just has to produce. The scouts for the Steelers have a knack for finding some damn good WR's, no reason they can't do it again.

I dont give a flying **** about the Raiders or what AB does from now on. That whiny ***** **** of caring about what he does in the future is for bitter losers.

The only thing that matters is we lost our #1 RB AND #1 WR so what are the Steelers going to do about that NOW?

Next man up, and win.

Go ******* cheer for the Raiders, or go cheer for whatever **** team Bell signs with. Sick of hearing everyone crying that we lost the two best players on the team, blah, blah, blah! No the best player and the one that actually matters is still here, the player with the Super Bowl Rings, the guy that will be a first ballot HOFer, the one that made those two so good.
We lost Burress after 2004, Bettis looked finished, what the **** happened in 2005? We won the whole ******* thing with Cedric Wilson and a converted college QB opposite Ward, and an undrafted free agent RB.

Hear people crying we draft to late to do to get any impact players, so we're just going to be mediocre until Ben retires. Where were Watt, Heyward, and Shazier drafted?

We lost two piece of ****, me first ******** from this team. Everyone ******* about the drama and the circus, well those two asshats are gone, and people are still bitching.

Hopefully Tomlin gets this ******* wake up call that just slapped him upside the head and he takes control of this damn team, and gets his head out of his ***. I'm not worried about the lack of talent this team, it's the guy running that show that may get in the way.

Yeah it will be hard to replace AB's production, but theres a decent chance the offense is more efficient without that diva running the wrong damn route and throwing a tantrum because he's not getting the ball even though we are winning or when other's score TD's. He just signed a contract that made him the highest paid WR in the NFL, and that's not enough? It's obvious teams weren't lining up to get that amazing generational talent. It's funny, since AB did no wrong, and Ben was the culprit, you'd think every team would be trying to get him.

**** Bell, Connor in year two did just as well as Bell did his last season here. Was there anyone here that really wanted the Steelers to give him 17 per with an outrageous signing bonus?

We won what a whole 3 playoff games with these two "supposed best at their position" guys over their career?

Rant over.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well said Coryea

Either get fair value for him or keep him and let him sit if he won't honor his contract.

The 3rd and 5th are nothing.

People would have made better offers if we just hung onto him, or he can sit...period

I believe we would have only been able to sit him for 4 games though. And we would be stuck with the Drama for another year.

.

History teaches us that Tomlin learns nothing from history.

Bell played in the passing era, Sanders, Smith, Walter, etc did not. Teams do not line up to stop the run anymore, and it's much easier to throw the ball. DeAngelo Williams and James Connor came in and produced just like Bell did.

AB hasn't done **** in games without Ben.

Look at your username, he's a huge reason they put up those numbers.

If teams don't line up to stop the run how did Conner have 3 games under 30 yards rushing and two games under 20 yards??
Ben is a future hall of fame no doubt, but he isn't putting up AB numbers with JuJu getting doubled this year. Not even close.
Conner coming off another season ending injury isn't touching 128 scrimmage yards per game. EVER

You should change your name to Miss Cleo. You have no idea what numbers Ben will put up this year with AB, James Washington, Switzer..etc. He may have better numbers since he won't have top force the ball to AB to keep him from beating the **** out of gatorade coolers. What exactly makes it a given that Conner will not average 100+ scrimmage yards per game? Crystal ball?

that was a general statement, teams play sub-package football 65% of the time if not more now.
2 of those games we abandoned the run, he had under 10 carries. He may not get to 128 scrimmage yards, but I'll take his 4.5 ypc and 1 TD per game and 114 scrimmage yards for 750K compared to Bell at 17 million. You think Bell is going to come back after an entire season off and get anywhere near 128 scrimmage yards?
Where did putting up AB numbers get us? He also won't have to worry about a loud mouth cry baby bitching when the ball doesn't come his way every time, or worry about a guy that thinks he is bigger than the team running incorrect routes like AB was good for.
No one said those guys weren't talented, but how else were they suppose to handle it? Give Bell what he wanted? AB was just a tool that wanted more money and could give a **** about winning, you don't win with guys like him so good riddance.
