Steelers management and coaches got played!
This says it all.......
Steelers management and coaches got played!
Lol, Steelers have gone from "SB or bust" to "We are 8-8" .... and the fans cheer!
100% agree. For an attorney, AR2 seems to know nothing about negotiations. Hell, I want to play poker with him, he probably turns his cards the wrong way for the whole table to see. That single move of telling everyone that it was best for Brown and the Steelers if we part ways and also said he could not envision a situation where Brown is with the Steelers this year TORPEDOED any negotiations and any value that AB had. Colbert was handed a no-win situation in trying to negotiate with teams.
I don't think ARII hurt our negotiating by saying what he did. If for some reason, only one was allowed to trade for AB then yes, he ****** it up, but there were 31 teams that could've traded for him, the Raiders call and offer a 3rd and a 5th, and not one other team called and made a better offer? Obviously no one else wanted that douche very bad, that had zero to do with ARII saying we are going to trade him. What he said didn't stop Arizona from offering a 3rd and 4th, then the Redskins offering a 2nd, etc. No one wanted him!
I will disagree, as soon as it became known that the Steelers HAD to move Brown (per AR2's comments), time became the Steelers enemy. Every week that past and got closer to training camp the more everyone knew the Steelers would have to make a move. Everyone was willing to wait it out and let the value continue to drop. Can you imagine what we would have gotten had we had to make a trade the week before TC? We'd be lucky to get a 7th round pick. It was a no-win situation for the Steelers and Colbert to get a good return.
I agree it may have hurt our starting price, but what stopped any other teams from offering more than Oakland? If AB is such a good player like everyone says, why didn't any other teams offer more to try to get him?
Antonio Brown has never looked happier celebrating the Raiders trade
“First day as a Raider, baby! Woooo! Woooo! First day as a Raider, baby! Celebrating with me and my family right now. We at my crib. We just celebrating my first day as a Raider"
100% agree. For an attorney, AR2 seems to know nothing about negotiations. Hell, I want to play poker with him, he probably turns his cards the wrong way for the whole table to see. Because nothing says WIN more than going from a first ballot HOFer to a never-won-**** QB on a perennial 4-12 team who hasn't won **** in decades.
AB: First day as a Raider, winning!
AB: 100th day as a Raider, huh, they do things different out here.
AB: 200th day as a Raider, come on Carr, get me the damn ball (still winning *fake smile*)
AB: 300th day as a Raider, **** this team and hard *** coach who think he know what's best, and **** this kid at QB who look like he should be in High School instead of out here on an NFL football field.
So much winning, can't wait for all the winning!
You are assuming that AB cares about winning. AB would rather have 15 catches for 200 yards and 2TD and lose a game than go 5 catches for 60 yards and win a game. That is who he is.
The numbers don't lie, they don't have opinions, they are just purely facts.
Bell and Brown first team all pro's were the two most productive players in the league.
Bell had the most scrimmage yards per game than any other RB in the HISTORY of the NFL,
Brown is ranked #1 in Receptions, yards, and TD'S since 2011
Period,
**** you're feelings
I dont give a flying **** about the Raiders or what AB does from now on. That whiny ***** **** of caring about what he does in the future is for bitter losers.
The only thing that matters is we lost our #1 RB AND #1 WR so what are the Steelers going to do about that NOW?
Conner is our #1 RB. Plus, we seem to be able to find WR talent in the draft.
Because clown and his agent made it abundantly clear they wanted a new deal with lots of guaranteed money. Oakland was willing to do that but it pretty much scared everyone else off.I agree it may have hurt our starting price, but what stopped any other teams from offering more than Oakland? If AB is such a good player like everyone says, why didn't any other teams offer more to try to get him?
