Browns trading Justin Gilbert to Steelers!

But depth is definitely needed. He should atleast be a upgrade over Grant, and If he was cut with all the teams needing CB right now, there's no way he would've made it to us with our position on the waiver wire, trading for him was the smart thing to do.

Steelz is spot on here. Plus, he played for the damn Browns. The NFL equivalent of the Twilight Zone for good players. I am willing to be pleased with this pick up until proved otherwise by piss poor play.

Which pretty much sums up his entire NFL career. Shows how desperate we are for secondary help that were are acting like school girls over Browns cast-offs.

That is the wrong way to look at his. As far as I am concerned he is a 6th Round prospect not a first round bust.

The Steelers loved Gilbert 2 years ago in the draft. But he didn't have much technique or football iq coming out. Worth a try for a late round pick. We'll see if Lake and Tomlin can teach him.

Like the move. Dude's got speed, and good hands for a defender. At the very least, he can return kicks.
 
So it is a 6th round prospect that might help on returns and a improvement over Grant.. Sounds low risk to me.........

Color me unimpressed. It's worth a shot at this point. If he flames out, oh boy, we lost a 6th round pick in 2018. Well worth the gamble.

Because that team was so in touch with teaching and excelling.

He might still but out, but if he does? A 6th doesn't make you sweat.
 
You spend 6 on a guy you had highly rated who at the least will return kicks. Don't see the downside to this. If HE decides to get his act together we have a steal.
 
Hoping we would improve in the secondary did not show it face in preseason, so how big a chance is this taking, maybe Gilbert will come in with a big chip on his shoulder and turn things around.
 
worth the gamble even if he is as bad/lazy/uncoachable as cleveland is saying. i remember wanting him in that draft.
