"Brown-out" Sunday had nothing to do with an injury

Hasn't he already received most of the guaranteed money? You can convert salary to bonus. I'm not sure it works the other way.
It's $21,000,000 in dead money that we still have to pay, if he's traded. It's not happening, nor should it.

Second straight year a superstar makes headlines immediately at the end of the season.

I know ridiculous.

Easy way out is to can the Coach as there is a disconnect.

Its not everything great. It's a **** sandwich. But its 29 million dollars. What do you do. Release players to get under the cap so you can trade a guy for a fraction of his value. Christ. Get a real leader to get them in a room and work this **** out.

It is 21 million cap hit. If you move him after June first there would be a 7 million cap hit in 2019 and 14 million in 2020. A trade is doable with the cap increase and Bell carryover money.

Gruden gave up a third round pick for Martavis. What would he give up for AB? The Raiders have 3 first round picks this year.

If Rooney has given even the slightest thought to making a head-coaching change, now might be the time to do it. (Elevate Munchak and see how he does next season.)

After all, LeBron James got a coach fired.

In the end, Brown is probably a bigger asset than Tomlin.

You are correct. I read this year. Which was 29. Maybe after next season at 14 over two. Not 21. Too much. One thing is damn sure boys and girls. The national media sharks will be circling tomorrow. We wont be talking about Bob Labriola, Missy and Adiddi softball questions. Coach Cliche better cut his damn eyelids off tonight.

How many players are causing locker room issue the past 8-10 years...
-Harrison
-Bell (multiple years)
-AB (multiple occasions)
-Legarette Blount
-Santonio
-M. Bryant
-Ben, maybe not to the extent of the others but still some issues

The only 2 common denominators those years are Ben and Tomlin. It's not Ben's job to keep everyone in line so the blame has to fall on Tomlin. Usually the issue with most teams is finding superstar talent...the worst part of the Tomlin tenure has been the inability to manage superstar egos. Clearly some blame has to be put on the players for acting like dbags in the first place but the handling of locker room issues has been horribly mismanaged, otherwise it wouldn't keep happening every single year.

I've been a New York Islanders fan as long as I've been a Steelers fan. Guess I was a bit of a front runner when I was 9. The Islanders lost a generational talent this spring, but they traded it for a coach that brings in structure, organization and most importantly buy in from the players. And there is no fall off in output. In fact they are playing the best they have in a long F'n time.

Harrison-Are we just talking about his final year with the team? Not clearly him of acting the way he did, but the coaching staff appears to have mislead him and did a poor job communicating with him.

Bell-The only person I can blame for Bell's situation is Bell himself. When it comes to money and a contract, that is on the player. If anything, blame the FO for thinking something would work out this year.

Brown-Brown's always been a little off, this year he went off the deep end with issues. Enabling him over the years hasn't helped.

Blount-See Harrison.

Santonio-They shipped him out when his headaches exceeded his performance.

Bryant-They took a chance on him and he couldn't handle himself.

Ben-Ben is Ben. They tried to reel his play with Haley, but when it comes down to it, the QB will get what he wants.

Trade him. He's outlived his usefulness.

mmm, i doubt it. it'll just be more of the same, eventually

Think so? With AB being a stat junkie?

I dunno seems to me suspensions would be pretty effective.

Time for the Rooney Family to make a decision. So many reasons to fire Tomlin, I won't recap. Munchak declined the Arizona job last year. He has 4-5 more interviews on the books right now. Munchak will be gone. I don't know if Munchak is going to be better but if you listen to the players speak about him. They respect him and find him a damn good leader. All I know if there is any opportunity to resurrect the Steeler WAY, this may be the last shot for years to come.

You simpleton ************.

Mike Tomlin is not responsible for the individual behaviors of grown men. What he is responsible for is the atmosphere and culture of the team. Ultimately, that is his most important responsibility. A few of the recent issues seem like this to me:
Harrison and Blount fall under the head coach lacking honesty with them. Blount came in believing he would be a one two punch with Bell. Harrison believed he would be a situational pass rush specialist (which I believe he should have been).
Airing in house stuff: never ever should this happen. Whether it was Bud Dupree going off last year or Oline making comments about Bell's contract. Should never ever happen.
Even this **** sandwich. Dust offs and arguements happen in literally every locker room. You are talking about 60 plus hyper competitive guys with massive egos. But what happened immediately after the confrontation absolutely belongs to the coach.

A addict is a little different from a diva lughead. Bryant didn't care about anything but getting high. AB wants to be the best an cares about stats.

Hard to dismiss something that hasn't happened derp.

I'm biased re Munchak; I got to know him a little from his time in Houston (with the Oilers). It's hard not to like him: He's easy-going and has a very good sense of humor (that is seldom on public display). But it was interesting to hear BR say how much the players like him and would hate to see him go...

Art II has his work cut out for him. Good luck.
