"Brown-out" Sunday had nothing to do with an injury

**** Ryan Clark, he's a mouthpiece for the league now and the national media has it's marching orders from the Steelers front office to absolve them of any blame for this trainwreck of season by blaming it all on Bell and AB and shutting down ANY talk about management.

Scapegoat anybody they can by feeding bullshit stories through the media pipleline, yeah, it's happening....it's ALL over the NFL network too, everybody rounding up the usual scapegoats and

NOT ONE WORD about the FAKE PUNT MASTER at all

None, nada, zip

and the sheeple lap it up

those people who you are referring to must be very retarded to think that AB and Bell were the reason for missing the playoffs, I mean diva AB still hauled in 15 TDs and didn't play D, kicked FG attempts, he also didn't throw red flags when he shouldn't, he didn't have to prepare the team every week or worked as a referee gifting points to rival teams.

So no, whoever thinks that this AB stupidity (for which he should be punished by the team) was the cause for the ****-sandwich season should wear a special helmet

Why does Ben do a weekly radio show during the season?
I'm sure its not for the money...

I think is counter productive to team unity...

There is nothing good that comes from these types of non-value added off the field activities, especially anything media related.

Loose lips...sink ships.

Ask Tom Brady and Belichick the same thing. They both have their own weekly segments on the radio/tv. Belichick does a weekly segment on breaking down a couple his designed plays from each game the prior Sunday.

Not only did AB put up some numbers. He had to act as a decoy for juju, something juju didn't have to do. sometimes the guy that does most of the bull work never gets the credit. I would have given it to AB. Tomlin is responsible for not getting a hold of the locker room before things get out of hand

Bottom line is the locker room is part of the head coache's responsibility. His staff, the X and O's, practice, preparedness, communication to the media etc etc. They wear many hats but ultimately it's Mike's job to keep the players in line. If he can't he needs to go. I see Ben for a couple years talking about retirement, Bells contract dispute and Browns drama as all connected. Haley finally leaves and Ben wants to play for the foreseeable future all of a sudden? The fact you had a HOF QB so unhappy that he discussed early retirement because of someone on Mike's staff is a comment on Mike. The fact that he keeps certain coaches around for so long is on Mike. To me Bells contract drama went on for two years. I realize Bell is a tool but I wonder how much of the culture Tomlin has fostered played into cultivating Bells mindset and going as far as he did. How many All Pro players sat out an entire year of pay (and turning down the highest pay ever for their respective position) and didn't play on a team with championship potential? It happened on THIS TEAM!!! Regardless of how much of a **** Bell is it's still under Tomlin watch. I'm not even going into the X and O's, or the bad clock management or lack of player development on the defense for Christ's sake. Drama with Ben, drama with Be, drama with Brown. Meanwhile it's been clear that other players are disgusted with the drama but if your elite players are holding out and throwing furniture out windows and missing practices and rapping about his contract dispute and your HOF QB clearly not happy saying he might retire then at some point you have to hold the coach accountable. Your elite players should be setting the locker room and not only has that been a collasol failure but now Tomoin can't even get his Stars to show up. Mike needs to be fired. This is on him

Constant double teams, and still had another 100 catch season. A shitload of TDs. He and Ben both had cases for being the team MVP.

Ben should win the MVP every season and he’s only gotten the award once lol.. that alone makes the team MVP a complete joke and should not be taken literally.

Sports talk radio is big business now. Every team has a player or players that either do a show or go on the area's popular station to talk and answer questions. I, for one, am totally burned out on sports talk. It has become way too much. I listen to some of Tunch and Wolf and a little bit of Stan during the week, but not every day. I used to consume every minute. And the national stuff, forget it. It's all mostly shock value these days.

Antonio Brown has requested a trade. Im told it was not a demand but he has asked to be dealt. Very unlikely Rooney would capitulate. Brown has issues with Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger. Feels like the coach is too aligned with the QB.

Its 29 million dollars to part ways with AB so let's just put that out of our collective minds. Now it doesn't cost anything cap wise to get rid of the coach. He sets the tone. If we could go back in time and trade him pre contract for a stud replacement I'd like that considering these revelations. Anyone not believe in the Madden Curse. ****** guy puts up a monster year and still finds a way to **** it up. In the bloody last week. Jeeeeeez

I can’t believe anything this guy or Rapaport say.. total garbage almost always.

oh yeah, AB and his 15 TDs was the reason the Steelers didnt make the playoffs, it must be true, cuz Ed Buchette says so!

BwahahabahahA

see once one of the trained seals start barking pretty soon you have the whole herd yaarping along

Yaarp yaarp yaarp yaarrp

Bark like you were trained to seals, your master commands you
Let’s here your trained *** tell us how hes contributed to a winning playoff record in his time. Oh that’s right you can’t because he hasn’t

Disagree. Unless you plan on shipping off Ben and blowing it all up.

On O we need all hands on deck. A strong argument can be made that they are a receiver short now as it is.

If the Rooneys are ok with Brown staying, which is the ultimate decide, I am up for it too.

BTW last year was far worse drama wise, and deep pockets ownership made none of the necessary changes.

Trust me a stat guy like Antonio wouldn't like a suspension. If you want to punish him that would be effective..
It’s amazing how many of you don’t see why this team comes up short yt after yr. but hey keep
It status quo. There’s a reason diva receivers do t win super bowl. There’s reasons why teams run by the players don’t win Super Bowls. It hey everything is great because he scored 15 tds. Those 15 tds sure locked up a great playoff spot. You’re a great follower but could never be a good leader

I don't want to keep it anything, I am for Tomlin being shown the door. And the STs coach, and the DC.

Its not everything great. It's a **** sandwich. But its 29 million dollars. What do you do. Release players to get under the cap so you can trade a guy for a fraction of his value. Christ. Get a real leader to get them in a room and work this **** out.

Oh boy, so now AB want's out because Tomlin and Ben are too cozy? Oh I totally can believe that but come the **** on.

This god for saken piss poor excuse for a championship winning team will never win a championship because of the prima donna's, and the head coach that has fostered this.

Just make it all end already....

Literally every head coach with their star QB. What happens when it's not that way, just ask Mike McCarthy.

Brown has acted like a clown all season whether it was missing time in training camp, yelling at reporters, skipping team meetings and practice, throwing furniture off balconies, getting pulled over for speeding, showing up late to a Children's Hospital appearance, etc. But keep blaming others.

Exactly. Make it end. You are paid so much money its unbelievable to play 16 games and playoffs. But that isn't good enough. You gotta enjoy all your coworkers and have your boss kiss your ***. Doesn't happen at my place if employment. Grow the **** up. Too late. Tomlin allowed this petulance to fester. They need to get his *** out and start fresh with fresh eyes.

AB is one of the greatest receivers we have ever had but one thing is for sure, he's damn sure the weirdest and most temperamental players I recall us having on the roster. You'd think he was the one getting suspended for drugs every year. Again I think he's taken one too many shots to the brain.

If he wants out bad enough, is it possible to restructure his contract to move bonus money to salary, so that the cap hit is less with a trade? I realize this is the exact opposite of how contracts are always re-structured.
Moot point, because he would never give up guaranteed money.

Hasn't he already received most of the guaranteed money? You can convert salary to bonus. I'm not sure it works the other way.
