"Brown-out" Sunday had nothing to do with an injury

I dispute anything that doesn't have an actual name to it. You guys are always saying Tomlin doesn't discipline, doesn't do anything about player accountability, then this report comes out, and it's Brown the diva again, blah blah blah.

If history is any indication, and Tomlins track record for discipline, you think he all of a sudden changed his stripes and sat Brown?

Brown certainly didn't look like someone who was benched on the sideline....

Tomlin had no intention of sitting AB, his jersey was ready to go in the locker room. AB chose not to play. Did you read any of the reports?

Its Tomlin's job to do something about Brown, Bell, Harrison, Ben, Mitchell being divas. Something about it whens its small, you know, put out fires, lead, head coach type stuff...

This team continues to be a royal circus under Tomlin. If the Rooney's won't do **** about their **** show, why should anybody else care. Tomlin has decimated this this team, good thing he has never had a losing season though!

Oh, boy. According to Dulac and Bouchette he was being disciplined:

Several sources said the Steelers’ decision to not play Brown against the Bengals had nothing to do with any type of knee injury.

After that, Brown did not practice the rest of the week. According to a source, it was Brown’s decision not to practice with his teammates.

He did not attend Saturday’s walk-through practice and skipped the Saturday night meeting at the team hotel — the latest in missed meetings by the All-Pro receiver. Brown was never on the field for the start of the game against the Bengals and left Heinz Field at halftime, according to multiple sources.

According to several sources, Brown showed up at Heinz Field expecting to play against the Bengals. That surprised several players, including one who called the situation “embarrassing” and “the worst I’ve seen.” That player said the entire situation and the way it was handled affected his desire to play in the game.

Brown did not practice all week and was listed as questionable on the injury report before the game. When he did not practice on Wednesday, the reason listed on the official report was “coaches decision.” On Thursday, the reason was listed as “coaches decision/knee.”

When offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner was asked about Brown after Thursday’s practice, his short reply was, “I’m not going to answer any questions about Antonio. Next.”

Tomlin said after Friday’s practice that Brown was having his knee tested because his All-Pro receiver “didn’t feel comfortable enough to [practice].” But several sources indicated Brown’s knee wasn’t an issue at all and was never tested.

Brown never even tried to test his knee in pregame warm-ups, despite Tomlin indicating his status for the Bengals would be a game-time decision.

At least one teammate phoned Brown in the days leading up to the game, but he did not return the call.

All of the above beyond a shadow of doubt Tomlin has no control over this team.

Seems to me that Ben has to play HC as well as QB. Someone has to call AB out for his **** at practice cause I'm assuming Tomlin will not.

Didn't anybody else find it odd that AB was at the West Virginia/ Oklahoma game on a Friday night. when you have a game in Denver that Sunday. it's not like they where playing at home. don't think I have every seen that before

Yes, I read a lot of unnamed sources. Similar to when Ben was traded, or that he was playing with broken ribs, that report had "sources" too.

More drama. Tomlin and his star players. There is no team respect. No I was not there but I think Ju-Ju being named team MVP, over Brown and Ben had something to due with Brown's mood.

Brown for Ramsey straight up?

I don't know Coach...don't think team mvp makes a hill of beans to any of them. JuJu deserved the recognition that they all earned and received years and years ago. All about rings when you have premiere money. I will go you one better tho...Brown AND Tomlin for Ramsey straight up. Multiple issues resolved in one fell swoop and Ramsey becomes our new problem child.

There's a big difference between reports from Ian Rappaport and Ed Buchette and Jerry Dulac. Those guys know what is going on much like they disputed any report that Connor was going to play against the Pats or Saints.

Kaboly just tweeted that Brown threw the ball at Ben’s feet and walked out of practice Wednesday.

"Buchette defends Tomlin, Buchette is an idiot"

"Buchette throws out a report with no real source about Brown, he's got the inside scoop"

This board lol

If true they've all quit on Mikey Thesaurus. 16-13 vs. Bengals and your playoff life on the line? Gtfo here with this ****.

Yes, I am now hearing the beef was with Ben

Yes, Bouchette and Dulac are going to risk losing their media credentials over a false story...This board LOL

Lol have fun living in fantasy land... we all like what AB does on the field but come on man.
I'm not living in fantasy land, I just don't jump at every little report thrown out about the steelers. Especially ones with NO NAMES SOURCES.

Another example of Cool Shades having no control of the team.
100%!
If he missed the walkthrough vs NO, he went out and had his beast game of the year-no biggie. If it’s true that the beef was with 7:
1) It’s my understanding they are great friends
2) If that is true, this will blow over, if not, it HAS to-or window closed
3) If it does come out that it was 7, then to the above point, Tomlin has lost control-just another reason to replace him!

What a cluster ******* **** show circus this team has become. Major changes have to occur.
