Broderick Jones Injury

We thought they did that the in '23 and '24. It's disappointing they have to double back so quickly with so many other areas of need.
I agree it’s very disappointing to draft tackle again for the 3rd time in round 1 in recent years but it might be absolutely necessary. You half to be solid at tackle

We all wish Jones the best but he hasn’t ever consistently played to his potential or even at an above average level and is a now a question mark with a serious injury

I dont think you are getting it.. a 300 lb dlineman grabbed a 300 plus olineman by the neck as he was coming down from a leap and twisted him to the ground... this isnt a 300 lb guy tackling a 200 lb guy..
The impact force equations are tricky for this, but 1000-1800 lbs of force probably were in play on that hit... its hard to say exactly, but its a lot...

And serioisly, pro wrestling pile drivers are fake as ****... we learned how that works in our teens... its two actors working together to give an illusion of impact while mitigating force... its now where the same as an olineman fighting agains a falling dlineman trying to take him down by the neck

The initial impact of the head to the defender's chest is likely where the injury occurred, Brod just falls down after that.

A roughly 300 lb dude coming down 2 ft has an equivalent weight of around 600 lbs... the force he would have initially impacted Jones with would have been 3 times that, and that's not factoring in anything jones added to that equation.. its a lot... then the guy twisted his neck afterwards...

Nothing like people that love to argue. The **** that they do in pro wrestling could have that exact same effect at any moment. Its called an accident. All Im saying is you could do that exact same thing 100 times over and not have the same result.

If not Fano, why not Lomu?

I have little to add there. I’ve watched less of him. When I was tunnel-visioned in on Utah Football and watching a lot of it, I was watching: Bishop, Vele, Barton, Rising, Fano and Tafuna. I believe Fano was in a bit of a position battle there before the RT move. I put emphasis on this statement, it’s not my job. So, yeah, things escape me. I guess he didn’t pop to me when I was recently viewing. I may have gave him a cursory glance which involved basic research, bio and maybe a high school highlight reel. Can’t comment any further, could go back and tunnel vision the Utah offensive line but I have better things to do. The big uglies are the most difficult part, I would wager it adds an hour or two to viewing if you’re doing it right.

Exactly
The two wrestlers are working together to try to minimize impacts..:comparing wrestlers and the acting then do to a clash of lineman who are 100% not working together is laughable.

There is a reason those guys don’t frequently have serious injuries, and it ain’t cuz what they are doing is real.

Those guys do get injured and I’d wager more frequently than one would think. Wrestlers are similar to Hollywood stuntmen. Football players are similar to prize fighters. The difference is in the intent of the opposition. Yes, the wear and tear is real in all those scenarios.
