"First Take" opened the show with the main topic of the day, with everything to choose from, being on Cam Newton being black QB in the SB...........................

Really? Out of all the topic to choose from, that is what they chose as the main topic AGAIN?

Even Cam himself said he wants to end the focus on him being a black QB. He might have started the dialogue on it, but even he wants to talk about other thing at this point, but
the producers of 1st Take want to keep it as the main topic. Why?

I won't watch their race crap. Just tired, boring and no where near appropriate as the main story. Stephen A and Skip need to come correct.

because it will get the biggest uproar, that's all ESPN is about anymore. I don't watch ESPN hardly ever.

I still mostly like Mike and Mike and 1st Take, but not when they hyper focus on BS, as they did today. I never watch Sports Center any more. I still think ESPN has best NFL coverage. More credibility than anyone else, especially Fox and CBS.

I do like Mike and Mike, always have, usually listen on the radio to them if I can. I watch their NFL coverage on Sunday's or game days, but those other shows I do not watch anymore.

This entire narrative is completely fabricated. The general public doesn't hate Cam Newton, the public doesn't think he's controversial, the public doesn't consider him much at all. He's not very highly rated in merchandise sales. That tells you all you need to know.

Newton, up to this year, has been an average quarterback playing for a team with an extremely small fan base.

The media is drumming this up because it'll get better ratings and more clicks than the "Peyton Manning Farewell Tour." They literally made it all up...

Who gives a **** about what color he is. The more he and the media make a big deal out of this, the more I dislike him and want him to lose. This country and the race baiting epidemic that has increased 10 fold since Odumma took office is truly disgusting. The true racists in this day and age are the race baiters.

Yep pretty much, anyone that says they don't like his dancing or whatever, it's because he's black, which is not true at all. I hate Rogers title belt thing and Manziel's money crap as well, I hate the over celebrating period. Get a TD, spike the ball, high five your team mates, but the **** Gay does and Newton is crap and it's not out of emotion, it's look at me look at me.

I wonder if Cam has any "white" relatives................ **** espn, they're just mad little ******* !!!!!

Salute the nation

"I brought it up originally and I have been blasted in the press and by the black QB fraternity, so I wish you racists would quit bringing it up." Paraphrasing Cam

No he didn't... the press was all over it before he even made his comments...He's reacting to the media asking him questions about it...but again, it's just the media, not the general public

People still care about the whole "black quarterback" thing?

Sorry but I saw an interview with Cam where he stated that HE made the statements and the press ran with it. then he tried to back track

Which is my issue with it. I loath when the media/govt (mostly, one in the same) artificially creates "stories" that are not based in truth or appropriate level of coverage. ANY time Skip and Stephen A. can make a race story out of things, they not only do so, but they "cover it" for way, way too long. Flashback to 1988 and Doug Williams? An appropriate slant to the SB story. But to make a QB race story when no one even gives it a second thought? Just stupid. We've had, not only Williams, but we've had Randal Cunningham, Warren Moon (Hall of Fame QB), Russell Wilson (won SB) and no one I know thinks this is a topic worth talking about. And yet, these guys keep covering the aspect as if it is the top aspect to cover. Shame on ESPN.

And, what's your point? Cam brought up the black QB thing, he did. But his last comments were that the media is covering it far too much, and he doesn't think it's a story worth hyper-focusing on, so what's ESPN do? Focus even more on it, even when they player himself is saying it's not worth covering anymore. And yet, 1st Take used those statements to CONTINUE to focus on the slant more than ever.

Forgive me, I know I'm biased, but the Gay-J Peezy antics ROLL ME. I LOL everytime I see it, even every time it is replayed.

Tired of ESPN.
TIRED of everyone making everything about race.
**** the Oscars!

Seriously believe, the media and Hollywood want racism. It's fantastic news and makes for controversial movies and shows.

Hate television. Hate ESPN

highly questionable is the only show I watch on espn these days..

Dan's Dad is freakin hilarious!
