BIG FA signings/trades

I'd target Jordan Cameron, Nate Allen, and Chris Culliver. Cameron would be the toughest get, if he can stay healthy he's a top TE, the other two are our typical second tier guys. Both have good size and speed, both still young (27, 26).

Culliver is a name that I hope we check out, I may be wrong but this is the first I have really heard his name on this board. I was wondering if I was missing something on him or if there was just so many FA CB's he kinda got lost in the shuffle.

Honestly it never ceases to amaze me. How stupid these front offices can get. They can pay me the money cause I could pull this **** out of my *** too. Revis could help a team with a great pass rush and an offense get over the hump. He could even help a team like Pittsburgh that only needs a respectable defense. The Jets are a shambles. They need to be rebuilt from the floor up. Are the fans really that gullible to believe that adding Revis will do anything. At best it will make them slightly less shity so as to get a lower draft pick.

The Jets are just a qb away, even without Revis they had a good defense now throw in Revis and Skrine they will be pretty good. They had a good oline and now they have Decker and Marshall but like I said they need a qb. I feel they are not that far away, the thing here is Revis is and always has been about the money. Now that he got a ring the money is the only thing that matters to him.

he will be holding out in year 3

And be calling the Steelers and willing to play for that hometown discount when he's 35 and can't cover any more.

I'd would mind if they checked out Culliver or his teammate Perrish Cox. McCain is drawing some interest from around the league and it seems like the longer he is out there, the less likely he is to return.

Perrish Cox is a FA? I really like his game, I'd love to see him play for Pittsburgh

Way too much money for Revis. Glad we didn't go there. That is ridiculous.

Walter Thurmond to Philly...another Duck.

is Chip Kelly still racist (Stephen A Smith!?)

Is Brandon Marshall and a seventh for a fifth right?

I thought this guy was a good receiver, drama aside, or has his skills diminished that much?

Seems like a hell of a deal from the Jets stand point?

Lewis is considerably better than anything the Steelers have at CB right now. It's an option they should definitely explore if it's there.

NO won't release him...I doubt it. His contract is cheap. I explained about this cap hit, so they prob can't trade him either.

why couldn't they trade him? The Steelers offer them a 3rd or 4th round pick, they may jump on it. Unless there is more to his contract that is not known.

Yeah me too would like to see us bring him back maybe put to rest all the talk here on how we let him go......

I read that NO, who has zero dollars, would incur a 2.5 mil cap hit. That's why I don't think they would.

I see, well, we could offer Cortez and a 5th round pick. They can eat the cap hit. If he doesn't want to be there, then they would be foolish to not field offers.

Lewis is trying to find a way out of his $2.5 million salary this year when all these other CB's are breaking the bank.

He signed the deal. He got $12.5 million in cash the first two years of the deal and now he's trying to get out of it.

I don't want anything to do with guys like that.

he WANTS to be there. he wants the team to show a committment to him.

Now here's a fit that makes a ton of sense: former Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams is scheduled to visit the Steelers on Friday, per source

As a black man- I wouldnt call Chip's action racist (Although its hard to explain why Cooper still has a job considering he sux)

Honestly- I just think that Chip is an unloyal ********. Why would you want to play for someone who will cut/trade you at the drop of a dime despite your performance??

Doesnt matter anyway. Even if he gets fired- he will still get a college gig making stupid money.

Are we giving up on Cortez or is the thought that he and Lewis could be a good tandem?
