BIG FA signings/trades

Is Revis really THAT good at this point in his career?

Can't we claim Browner on waivers and just pay him what he was going to get?

I dont think the waiver rules are in play in offseason. Once a guy is cut he is a free agent. Im sure if im wrong someone will correct me . . .

Anyone see the clusterfuckery that is going on in Philly right now? Trading Foles for Bradford and giving up picks.

I saw something on twitter where it's a legit trade provided someone can figure out the compensation between the two teams.

from ESPN:
In addition to Foles, the Rams will also get Philadelphia's fourth-round pick in 2015 and second-round pick in 2016. The Eagles will get St. Louis' fifth-round pick in 2015 in addition to Bradford.

The Eagles can also pick up a conditional pick in 2016 based on how many snaps Bradford takes. If Bradford plays less than 50 percent the Eagles will get a 4th-round pick, if he does not play at all it becomes a 3rd-rounder. If Bradford plays more than 50 percent of snaps the Eagles will not receive any additional compensation.

and the Rams got Case Keenum from the Texans for a 7th round pick.

I'd guess Fisher is tired of having **** QBs.

Anyone else wondering just wtf is going on with Revis? The Pats*** released him and NOW they want to re-sign him? That shouldn't be allowed.

all for naught

Jets pick up two CBs:

So Jets add CBs Darrelle Revis and Buster Skrine. Rex would have loved this D.

all quiet in Steelerland on the first day

sigh

Roy Helu agrees with the #Raiders on a 2-year deal worth over $4M, source said. (as @caplannfl said).

some guy named Ed whose last name sounds like "Douche it" says it would be interesting if we considered a trade for Keenan Lewis.

Is that tool reading this board again?

He must of been trolling over this way and peeked into a thread or two.

Speaking of which, has anybody read one of his chats lately? He is so crotchety and short tempered now lol. He makes a sarcastic, nasty comment on about every 3rd question. To be fair, he does get some stupid ******* questions. I guess it's getting to him after all these years.

His problem is when he does the chat he has no time to come here for a legit answer..so he just gives the sarcastic response

Jets CB Darrelle Revis agrees to a five-year, $70 million deal. $48 million over first three years. $39 million fully guaranteed.

Wow, that's a shitload of money on a 30 years old CB

I'd target Jordan Cameron, Nate Allen, and Chris Culliver. Cameron would be the toughest get, if he can stay healthy he's a top TE, the other two are our typical second tier guys. Both have good size and speed, both still young (27, 26).

I'd would mind if they checked out Culliver or his teammate Perrish Cox. McCain is drawing some interest from around the league and it seems like the longer he is out there, the less likely he is to return.

The guaranteed portion will be paid upfront in the first 2 years when the Jets have the most cap space, after that Revis could be dumped or restructured if needed. A lot of money but they're not stuck with him if his performance declines after 2 seasons.

Can see it in print before it is written by the lapdog local media....the excuse
"...the delay in restructuring Roethlisberger's contract really hamstrung them in acquiring quality free agents..."

Honestly it never ceases to amaze me. How stupid these front offices can get. They can pay me the money cause I could pull this **** out of my *** too. Revis could help a team with a great pass rush and an offense get over the hump. He could even help a team like Pittsburgh that only needs a respectable defense. The Jets are a shambles. They need to be rebuilt from the floor up. Are the fans really that gullible to believe that adding Revis will do anything. At best it will make them slightly less shity so as to get a lower draft pick.
