Later this evening, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ franchise quarterback will finally respond to the criticism that has been circling the NFL since Antonio Brown’s dramatic outbreak. Roethlisberger sat down with KDKA’s Bob Pompeani which will air at 6 o’clock. Not only will Big Ben discuss the apparent criticism but he will also address his leadership philosophy […]

And I don't think AB understands the definition of "two face". I'm beginning to think he doesn't understand a lot.

Rainy holiday Monday here. I tried to copy & paste a couple of those tweets here. Mikel Vick had one,and Aaron Smith had one about AB. Quite entertaining. But really I was hoping for a bit of quiet from our team. Did Big Ben just come out of the blue with this?. Sometime a " no comment " would be appreciated.

Ben may have meant well, but I see his excuse making about the media and social media leading to another news cycle of criticism, not a great look...

Of course no one will hold their breath for Brown to aploogize for his years of bullshit selfish destructive behavior, instead he pours gas on the fire on twitter, his true colors continue to show

I stand by my assessment of the 2 year old AB - he is either a drug addict or has serious dain bramage.

I tend to believe the guy has always been a selfish, insecure prick.

There were warning signs for years, but it took a combination of his issues with Ben, Juju and his contract for him to finally blow up.

I have no clue how you can read Ben's comments and believe he was making excuses or think it was a bad look.

He could have just said I screwed up for commenting on Brown on his radio show and left it at that.

And not gone on to elude to media/social media as a cause for him and Brown's issues snowballing.

Thanks. I was hoping this **** was behind them, guess not. Edmunds should do something for this team on the field before he piles on, even if its just a like...dude is lucky to be here..typical entitled 20something punk

**** Tomlin get them all in a room and say, the social media is ****** over. Quit football if you dont like it. Edmund. ****** Edmund's. Who the hell are you buddy?

I wish that was possible with social media, but you might as well ask water to not be wet. Even Bellicheat can't muzzle his team on social media

Ben....

Sometimes the best things I ever said...
Is nothing at all..

I disagree in part. He knows he’s going to have a mic in his face all season which will will become another distraction this team doesn’t need. Why not speak the truth while at the same time show a little remorse. It’s smart because it’s an interview on his own terms and can say well whatever I said I’ve already said it and moving on.

Like Atlsteelers said, he's going to have a mic in his face all year about this bullshit. If he simply says "no comment" or "it is what it is, I'm moving on with the guys that are here" he'll probably be accused of being aloof or not a team guy, and it's just more drama. He's expressed remorse and he did it now, all this **** will blow over (hopefully) by preseason.

I mean, everything does snowball because the media turns everything they can into a story and it is a good reminder to everyone what can happen anytime you speak.

Does this sound like a HC with a handle on the dynamics of Social Media in the Information Age?

“I got teenaged kids that are 16 and 17, so I understand that that's part of this world. It's not the world I grew up in. I'm 45. So, I'm learning to understand it, learning to do it in the appropriate ways. I think that's the discussion. I think that's the realistic discussion. Whether we're talking about young players or whether we're just talking about young people, you know, social media and the things that come with it aren't going anywhere.

"And for 45 year olds like myself it's better to understand it and understand the positive aspects of it and work to train younger people to utilize it and utilize it for good, I think that's the discussion.”

Apparently, Rooney needs to add a Timeouts Coach, a Replay Coach, and a Social Media Coach. I'm starting to think that Tomlin's primary function is to get the team to the stadium on time and there have even been issues with that.
