It's what I keep hearing. Praying that it holds true.

oh god I hope so !

Steelers optimistic Bell avoided ACL damage

The injury looked bad. The news may not be.

Per a league source, the Steelers are optimistic (for now) about the condition of running back Le’Veon Bell’s knee. He exited the stadium during the game for evaluation at a nearby hospital, and the source tells PFT that the initial indication is that the ACL is intact.

The team currently hopes it’s only an MCL injury, which likely would knock Bell out for a game or more, but which wouldn’t end his season.

Cross your fingers

If it's just an MCL I think it would be a 6 week injury for a RB! Hopefully he'll be back for revenge vs the Bungles!

when I saw him sitting up, and not laying backwards.

I was thinking sprain. (not that that's indicative of a outcome)

Listening to the postgame radio shows - 790 and 93.7 - several Steeler players were pissed at Burfict for "celebrating" his tackle and felt he should have been flagged.

Lucky guy if so,but he's going to be gone until the end of the season. A guy with his kind of shake- n- bake lateral movement will need at least 6 weeks

Really hoping this is true. If we can just somehow find a way to hang on to a wild card and have the whole band back together for the playoffs, maybe all is not lost

These injuries are a *****. We have a damn good team...if healthy, a SB contender for sure.

I always laugh when people say you can't use injuries for game/season outcome excuses, when in reality they are the only excuse.

When we play them again, why wouldn't they try and target Bells knee again? They know their chances improve without 1 of our top 3 players...

Even if he comes back he won't be the same this year. This season is toast.

Like I said if players were coached jump on backs and roll up knees no one would survive a season.

When we beat the Cardinals in the SB, you know what RB was on the field the majority of the time in that game? Mewelde Moore.. you think DeAngelo Williams is worse than Moore? I don't.
Hell DeAngelo is better than Spindenhall too even in his prime.
IF the offense can get on track and the defense keeps improving, we are a playoff team.

We also had one of the best defenses in modern history...

The point is that just cause Leveon is out, doesn't mean this offense can't put up points and win games.
Our current defense is good enough to win in the playoffs too.

Who is our backup behind Williams? Is it Todman? Damn well better not be Dri. If this is the same injury as Ben, Bell will definitely take longer to come back, as some have noted. He needs to be able to run and cut, etc. Ben does not. I can see Bell coming back maybe before the end of the season but not be 100%.

I think it depends what kind of record we have late in a couple weeks. If we are out of contention, it would obviously be smart to sideline Bell the rest of the year.
Todman will be the backup, I'm sure. I think he can do the job as he can catch out of the backfield, and has some decent speed.
