By Brandon Wallace SteelerNation.com PITTSBURGH, PA*– It looks like the*Pittsburgh Steelers*are finally parting ways with star running back,*Le’Veon Bell. Wednesday, General Manager of the Steelers Kevin Colbert told reporters that the team will not use the transition tag on Bell. “Le’Veon will be an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year,” […]

there are cheaper options out there on the market to compliment JC. Start with Mark Ingram and CJ Anderson. Buh-bye Lev!

The Steelers will receive a 2020 compensatory pick that could be worth as high as a third-round selection.

conditional, not guaranteed.

Using the tag was risky anyway. From what I heard if they did tag and then match and trade, they would be stuck paying the signing bonus which could be huge.

It's likely we'll bring in FAs which will offset losing him and downgrade to comp pick, I bet we'll get a 6th at best.

If they had no intention of tagging him this year, why would they not have made the agreement with him last year so that he shows up for the last part of the season? That was the whole reason Bell did not show up at the trade deadline.

I think their plans changed along the way. And who knows perhaps Mr. Big titty tested their patience with wanting to keep either.

What good was he going to do with 4 games? He was completely out of shape and he doesn't run as well as Conner. He was an instant downgrade at the position.

There was no point in making nice with him and trying to get him back at the end of the season. Better to leave him at home and reclaim his salary. Of course Brown, being the ***-hat he is has completely nullified any savings that the team captured over Bell.

Thank you Antonio. (For that alone I would send him to Buffalo or Detroit.)

I would have stuck it to him as much as possible and that includes trying to tag him at the lower amounts. Let them fight it. But, he is gone now. We will be just fine without him like we were this year. Conner and Samuels will be even better next year.

He still ****** with our year last year. For me I will never welcome him back.

He can go merry go round **** himself.

I am really glad he isn't being tagged. To many things to go sour from that and possibly tangle this up coming season. Don't under estimate the UNITY of playing like a team. One down and one to go.

He put up a twitter pic on his birthday of a video game screen and 10 or so rolled up blunts. Good riddance.

I'd rather not get a compensatory pick because that means the Steelers actually made a big move in FA.

I can't wish bad on anyone but I can feel good when they fail.

I don't wish injury, but I hope the big pests don't find their way back to the burgh in any capacity.
