Hah technically we could resign him and AB for the seasons end... any takers? Lol
You pro Bell people, you're assuming we're getting 2017 Bell

I would not sign Bell. I want to see what McFarland can do as a 3rd down back.
That's what you want to do ? Ben's career has maybe 1 year left ? Maybe 2 ? And you want to just see how McFarland can do ?
That sounds kind of familiar to what I heard people saying about Conner two years ago. The guy has evolved into nothing.
Get Bell in this offense and it's twice as good.
Honestly- I would bring him in at minimum and send Samuels to the PS or trade him. Use him as a rental and that’s it. If he helps win a few more games and the championship then it’s worth the season rental.
rather keep current #26 active than bring the former to poison the locker room
Poison the locker room ? I don't recall Bell ever being a problem in the locker room. I don't think he was ever a problem outside of contract negotiations. This isn't AB we're talking about here.

Bell is better than the rook and JaySam...Conner is a good RB. It's not like the steelers are deficient at the position. Bell could contribute as a receiving back. I think McFarland can as well. The Steelers have plenty of weapons in the passing game. Bell may make the team a bit better but i don't think he'd be a game changer on the steelers.
“The organization wants to win. Tomlin wants to win. Ben wants to win—but Ben wants to win his way, and that’s tough to play with. Ben won a Super Bowl, but he won when he was younger. Now he’s at this stage where he tries to control everything, and [the team] let him get there.
He adds: “So if I’m mad at a player and I’m not throwing him the ball—if I’m not throwing A.B. the ball and I’m giving JuJu [Smith-Schuster] all the shine or Jesse [James] or Vance [McDonald] or whoever it is, and you know consciously you’re making your other receiver mad but you don’t care—it’s hard to win that way.”
