I kept saying cheat a S over by Hilton and then nothing. Yeah it was pretty annoying. Or put in Sutton.....

Agreed. Though communication is a huge aspect of coverage they are clearly not playing aggressive coverages. They are playing cover 1, Cover two man and cover two zone on the vast majority of downs. And for most of the time it is working. They just are not ramping it up and finishing on third down. How many drives have had third and medium to long they give up the first down and later the TD? Way too ****** many. For the record if they beat the Browns, I'd say the Steelers are a contender in the AFC. the Browns are a playoff team. They are playing good football. They can run pass and they play aggressive defense that can be opportunistic. If the Steelers can win two of these next three games they have really done something and are very legit AFC contenders. Lets see.
I agree. Hilton has been pretty steady playmaker at the line, he has made some ball plays, but he is physically limited in some coverages.

The game I thought of was I think it was Hogan for the pats he had like 15 receptions. They kept doing the same thing over and over and we did nothing to stop it
James Conner and Jaylen Samuels are 2 great reasons to sign him.
You honestly going to argue that James Conner is going to be more productive in Pittsburgh than Leveon Bell would be if they signed him?
He has just 13 less rushing yards than Alvin Kamara despite playing one less game, and has a better PYC (4.9 vs. 4.6). He ranks 16th in the NFL in rushing yards per game. He ranks 12th among RB's in yards per carry (two ahead of him, Murray and Jackson, are QB's).
So if he has had "1 good run all year," that bodes very well for the Steelers. Wow, imagine when he starts getting 1 good run per game - top 5 in yards per game, top 5 in YPC?
Huh, and look at that ... Conner is tied for 3rd - repeat, THIRD - in the NFL for "big runs," i.e., 20 yards or more despite playing 4 games, where many others have played 5.

Yeah Conner has more of an inner drive right now IMO. And we know he isn't going to cause a distraction. I am waiting for you to show me how you know for a fact Bell would be an upgrade. You know despite thinking back what Bell once was.

Ya, cause Bell is worse in every statistical category than Conner since he left. Absolutely scoop HIM up.
I would sign Bell. IMO- he’s at the level of a role player. I feel he could be helpful now in a committee situation. I feel he’s better than Samuels and would be a better 3rd down option. I don’t think he’s the 20-25 carry a game back anymore.
So you would think he would be happy in a Jaysam limited role?

What you say MIGHT be true, but Samuels is a non-entity right now. He ranks, what, 4th on the depth chart? How many snaps does he even see?
Is it really worth adding a cranky, whining quitter who badmouthed the team captain for a slight upgrade (if that) at the #4 RB?

Conner has 4 carries of 20 yards or more this season. Bell has 3 such carries since 2017.

Again, statistically, Conner has performed better in every category than Bell since Bell left. (And for those of you who don't remember, toward the end Bell wasn't lighting it up here either.)
I find it humorous that thief suggested Conner goes down easily. Bell COULD NOT break a tackle to save his soul. He had a LOT of 5 and 6 yard runs. He had very few 10+ yard runs and he almost never broke 20 or 25+ yard runs. He was too slow and was ALWAYS caught from behind.
Bell couldn't score TDs.
He can catch, and he didn't fumble often. Aside from that... You guys are remembering Bell through rose-colored glasses.
And Bell a role-player? Are we forgetting that Bell skipped a walk through before a playoff game with the cheats? He showed up an hour or so late and was ultimately completely useless in the game due to a groin
(In fairness that was largely on Tomlin who grotesquely over-used him in that playoff run.)
Look up the numbers. Bell isn't extraordinary when he's not behind that offensive line and when he doesn't have the threat of Ben Roethlisberger throwing to keto defenses honest.

Conner has had a run of over 20 yards in every game he has played this year except for the Giants game.
Derrick Henry is a beast. Right? I mean, he has 108 more yards than Conner in the same amount of games played. That's impressive. Well, until you look at the numbers.

I really don’t understand this way of thinking. I am all for bettering our team. The guy has done absolutely nothing since he left. Years ago. Nothing. Except open his big mouth. Against us. Against the Jets. If you think he won’t be opening his big mouth about “ not being used properly “ in a diminished 3rd back roll...........right.
That clusterfuck time of negative media attention brought on by him and AB made me almost embarrassed to be a Steelers fan. And that says a lot. I don’t forgive,I don’t forget. **** Bell.
