The only thing I see wrong with our pass D this year is:
1. Burns is young and can be burned at times by double moves or leaving his responsibility.
2. Mitchell would rather stare in the backfield, than look at the receivers running on his half of the field. He is grossly out of the play. I also think he's been playing banged up. He has a bunch of nagging injuries that sap speed: Hamstring, Achilles, Ankle. He just doesn't look good on the field right now.
As a unit, the pass D as vastly improved from last year, and is a strength.
Football is a game. The other team will make plays. How you respond to those plays, shows the mental toughness and discipline of your team. down 14-3, this team didn't fold. Scoring last in both halves gave them the 6 points they needed to win the game.
Against a terrible Colts team with a not so good backup QB and a depleted not so good defense.
Tomlin does not understand how to prepare and keep his team focused. When Ben is gone most will see him for what he is.
They have beat two pretty good teams out of 9 and could have easily dropped several of those not for the play of Ben.
