Bell missing his burst

I saw many opportunities where he was 1-1 today both running and passing, and he failed to make that guy miss each time.

hope we see a faster start on Thursday.

I think the ' Big Bee ' sucked the worst today. I can't imagine Jones playing any worser than Ben did today. He would have had to really work at it if he did.

I can’t put my finger on it with Ben this year. I don’t think he “check out”. No way. You hear the old school talking heads talk about if I didn’t have to do OTAs, training camp, and just get my body ready I’d be out there. There is no way he did all that not to be 100% for himself, his team and fans. But. There is no fire no emotion, sometimes it seems like he’s not even there. I have a feeling he is so done with Haley and the drama queens on the O. You see it every week. He tries to force **** to whom ever was pissed the week before (AB and MB) to **** them the **** up.

Still happy he is our qb and will be so sad when he is gone but I want the fire back Ben.

Why doesn't Conner get more carries as a normal part of the offense?

Because look who the head coach is. I’m going to run the wheels off him. What a ******* idiot for a coach.
I’m telling you this much. When Ben goes Tomlin will finally be exposed for what he is. Unfortunately we’ll all have to endure some terrible QB play but if that’s what it takes to get this fool removed then so be it.
Probably has the best roster in the league and doesn’t have a clue how to run it.

I don't understand why we don't see more of James Conner to help take the workload off of LeVeon Bell.

We will need both of those guys for the playoffs! Time to lighten the workload a bit for Bell so he doesn't burn out.

We also need to get James Harrison fired up because I see TJ Watt hitting a bit of a rookie wall in the last few games!

Let's see, first it was "Cowher's Players" and he won't be able to put a roster together.
Now, it's "the best roster in the league" and no clue how to use it.
Hell, I'll take 7-2 with a chance at home field advantage if that's the best that "Inspector Clouseau" can do.
Jesus, maybe Bell would be in better shape if he'd reported his selfish *** to OTAs and camp. And, coming off a bye week, he should have been plenty rested.

Ben did not suck today.

What game did you watch, exactly?

His numbers were solid and would have been better had Brown not let a deep ball fall right through his hands.

no one seems on the same page, EVER! Ben looks like ****, way to many penalties, Tomlin looking like a statue.

'Does anyone on the team, truly know what they are supposed to be doing?

Am happy with the win. Was expected.

Most of those penalties were complete bullshit. Open your eyes dude. We have been playing nearly penalty free most of the season.

Ben kicked *** in the 2nd half as well...lighten up, Francis.

You want to keep backing and supporting this fraud be my guest. I’m not fooled.

My comments have nothing to do with Bill Cowher. They are strictly pointed to the head fool in charge, Tomlin.
You’re obviously fooled by this guy so that’s your business but not me.
This is an excellent roster but this idiot has no clue how to implement what’s required to get the maximum from these players.

It’s the same as always playing down to inferior teams on the road even with scrub QBs like the bum that almost beat them today. They could have easily lost that game because the idiot didn’t have them prepared.
Point being, Colbert has provided the players and this idiot doesn’t know what to do with them.
Why would you continue to wear down Bell when you have a capable young backup that can take some of the load from him? Because he’s a ******* idiot.
He doesn’t have them prepared against the Titans and they’ll get their ***** kicked. They aren’t the Colts or the Lions.

Ahhh, but "IF" they come out and beat the Mighty Titans ... what then?
What if they look spectacular and lose? Or, they look like ***** and win? Bell had two weeks of rest. I think the **** did little to no conditioning work during the bye and that's why he gassed. Never know though because nobody's going to say. As far as Conner goes ... If he learned the protections and showed the ability to implement them, we're probably not having this discussion. He hasn't, so we are. Thing is, I'd rather not have Ben's old, brittle *** protected by a guy who either isn't interested in pass protection or hasn't learned how to do it after 8 months of being a professional football player. There's your recipe for disaster right there. And the first time Ben takes a hard hit because Conner can't protect who would you blame .... Tomlin. smh
Now seriously, there really isn't much sense in y'all continuing to ***** and moan about Head Coach Mike Tomlin ... The Rooney's have repeatedly shown you that he's not going anywhere for awhile.

Something else , not gased - two weeks rested , maybe feeling lazy.

The Steelers allowed Jacoby Brissett to throw for two TDs of 60+ yards.

Tomlin apparently established himself in the league as a secondary/pass defense coach, yet they seem to get destroyed by weak passers on a regular basis.

And they won, what's your point? Mitchell sucks, we know this...

Uh, Tomlin sucks?

This team has looked like crap as much as a 7-2 possibly can.

The roster is too good for the Steelers to struggle against the likes of the Colts and Browns and lose to the Bears

How many times do you need?? Once is too many. Im all for giving Bell a break cause Connor looks good when he runs. Nice changeup. But he has to protect.

Well BELL flat missed his block twice today and Ben got hit. So I guess that’s twice too many

Bell needs to quit the **** and just find the hole and go! His dancing is not helping the Oline at all.

The more dancing he does the bigger the chance of him getting hit or injured.

And he was hired for all the wrong reasons. So now Rooney will get exactly what he bargained for.

Conner isn’t the greatest blocker but he won’t get any better on the bench. And if he’s that bad of a blocker then they should have brought D’Angelo Williams back. Tomlin will wear Bell down to where he either gets hurt once again or won’t be effective at seasons end.

I’d be careful as you appear to take the Titans too lightly. I didn’t say we would not beat the Titans but he better have this team prepared and not take them lightly, they are not the Colts and Mariotta is far better than the joke the Colts sent out there today.

The point Cope is that is supposed to have been Cool Shades strong point but look at our pass defenses under him.
The guy has been in over his head for 11 years but some can’t seem to acknowledge it. He takes no responsibility for one damn thing on this team.

There is little team discipline, far too many me guys, the team comes out ill prepared far too many times, play down to lesser teams, inability to make adjustments, poor game planning.

He was hired because the owners felt like hiring him. Unless you own your own business, that't the same reason you have your job; somebody in charge chose to hire you. Right about now, Rooney is getting a 7-2 record that's good for first place in the AFC. I think they're probably pretty happy with that. Are you?

And again on the Conner issue. He has chances to show he's improved during practice. If he can't get it there, he doesn't deserve to be on the field much more than he has during games.

I don't take the Titans lightly. But, I'm also not putting them on a world beating pedestal. As for the preparedness of the team, none other than Shazier said: "I'm not going to lie, before the game some people even told me it almost didn't feel like a game day," Shazier said. "The bye week throws you off a little bit." Now, I know Madden makes it seem so simple. Like you can just line dudes up and get the results you want. However, in real life, there's this thing called "personal accountability" and it's on the players to show some of that coming off of a bye week. Our players, for most of this game, did not. What's Tomlin supposed to do about that? Whip 'em? smh

The only thing I see wrong with our pass D this year is:

1. Burns is young and can be burned at times by double moves or leaving his responsibility.

2. Mitchell would rather stare in the backfield, than look at the receivers running on his half of the field. He is grossly out of the play. I also think he's been playing banged up. He has a bunch of nagging injuries that sap speed: Hamstring, Achilles, Ankle. He just doesn't look good on the field right now.

As a unit, the pass D as vastly improved from last year, and is a strength.

Football is a game. The other team will make plays. How you respond to those plays, shows the mental toughness and discipline of your team. down 14-3, this team didn't fold. Scoring last in both halves gave them the 6 points they needed to win the game.

Punx, Ben isn't allowed to miss one pass and the passes he does complete have to absolutely perfect or that'll get criticized. He made big plays late in the last two games to help us win. Another big play no one talks about was on 3rd down in the first half, Ben got away from pressure, tried a shovel pass to James for what should've been a 1st, but James isn't even looking for the ball

Bell just looked tired or not 100%. perhaps he was used to much in practice this week. he should take up lacrosse.

Comeon man...you think he looked sharp ? I think he looked like he is regressing in time to " Old Ben" who used to play sand lot ball 'cept this Ben can't run. His accuracy is 50/50 on any given day and IMO he still has issues with reading defenses consistently.

I'm not blaming Ben for the play calling though, that can make or break a QB performance also. This offense is getting so redundant and predictable that my wife recognizes the plays while watching the food channel in the other room. It is what it is though and hopefully we can continue to be successful by having the better athletes on the field.
