Yup never going to happen. Especially since I don't think the FO or the coaching staff considers Jones a disappointing pick.

I always here this stuff about the defense being such a complicated system... How it takes several years for our young players to get acclimated blah blah blah while I watch other teams first and second rounders get thrown in ready or not... Most of the time they seem to pay dividends almost immediately. We even keep players with marginal talent like Gay and Worilds cuz they "know the defense". For Christ sake go out and sign a veteran corner already ... What's so hard to learn? Play 8-10 yards off the reciever, give up anything underneath, and never never never actually play the ball and God forbid get a hand on it or, dare I say, intercept the ******* thing. Soft zone, let 'em catch it, tackle them... hopefully... That's how you play in the Steelers defensive backfield. Not that complicated...

I'm not sure about that. I doubt they think he's a bust, but he does not look like he'll be more than a decent #2 guy. They may get the same or more from Moats with less invested.

If they don't see him as a disappointment then that's a problem. The steelers are not struggling because they lack good players. They have struggled because they lack impact players.
 
I thought I read somewhere early in camp that Golden was working some at nickle and capable of playing corner.....no ?

I was real high on Webb coming into the draft and man did he bomb in Dallas. I hope he can put something together cause what I saw of him in the senior bowl to me it looked like he could be a good CB in the nfl. Maybe he steps up some and we get to use Shamarko some more and things fall into place for us......
