I really hope that Ike is ok and can, as plan, retire as a Steeler; but, like others - I think he maybe done for the year...

http://www.nfl.com/freeagency

Sort by position - I believe there are a "few good men" on this list that would be viable "step-in" candidates for Ike right away.

Here are my options:

1. Jabari Greer
2. Chris Carr
3. Drayton Florence
4. Aaron Berry
5. Curtis Brown

You forgot Joe Burnett :)

I say let the kid play. See what he has. He knows the system. Give him help by getting to the QB.

Curtis Brown? he knows our defense. never used properly in free agency.
bring him in. vet minimum. could be a steal!

LMAO

If the Steelers would even hint at signing him back (they wouldn't), I'd gladly volunteer as tribute to put on the pads instead

Trade Mike Adams for a #1 CB!

Blake. Let Blake play. Gay will start. Blake or whomever will play in nickel or dime.

Champ Bailey, is the guy even healthy? He's got the name but he's old as dirt.

I like the Champ option; but, I think we need someone a bit younger...

Leaning towards Jabari...

Johnny Patrick might be an option??? Only been in the league 4 years.

too bad JJ got hurt, I'd trade Worilds for a starting CB

seems to me that the know-it-all ************* who consistently and ardently ***** incessantly about the talent or lack thereof on this roster would be in this very thread spouting off name after name of which bum off the street we could sign to step in and play at a Pro-Bowl level.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Superman again.

LOL

Crickets. 10 chars.

I'm amazed - 17 posts in the thread and not one ignorant comment...

I'm going to South of the Border for fireworks!!!!!!

Shamarko to the nickel like early last year and Gay to the outside.

You ran them all off. Now we're stuck with your keen football insight, personally I would rather have your insight on T&A

IMO, the Webb signing looks like genius. I thought it was a good move then, and it is an even better move now. In fact, I started a thread on it when it happened.

Our players should be either on the roster or the Practice Squad. What happened last year with Velasco and Wallace was a real head shaker.

I see you took notable exception to that comment
(your T&A thread is in GD)

I think he's right. Too many ************* around here with their "opinions" and "observations."
