Ask Drunk Cope 4/11/19

Nice job Cope. Awesome sink choice. Are your cabinets stock supplied or are they special order? I see the wifey demanded a cooking island and you provided. Nice work! I did the smart thing and got them measured by a custom company, then walked into Lowes and we did midgrade Allen & Roth and had them delivered to my house directly. Cooking island is in teh center of the house, my wife loves to cook, and it makes the whole experience more social now. Especially since we can sit around it while she cooks.

On to football.....While I don’t foresee any issues contract wise from Davis, he did hire Rosenhaus. Which seems to think safety might be selected this year in the later rounds. The Maryland kid, Savage, seems to be moving up the boards. He looks to have great coverage range....Late Day 2 or early Day 3 possibility? I should know more about Savage since he plays in my home state. Would be weird replacing one MD safety with another? I think we go Chad Scott from MD also, so this team seems to like the secondary pics from that school, so anything is possible!

Plus, Justin Hollins from Oregon’s, have you had a chance to see his tape? Intriguing prospect in rd 4 or 5. I have not reviewed any college tape, and my 'expertise' tends to skew more toward receivers. I am planning on doing breakdowns of all the WRs the Steelers have reviewed either at a pro day or in for visits. Expect them in the next few weeks!

I did my kitchen mostly myself with a little help from my now-ex-father-in-law. Turned a small kitchen and small breakfast nook into a larger eat-in kitchen. Completely gutted the whole area. It turned out really nice though. Took me three months. Yours looks great.

Thanks Ron!

If you see in the demo shots, we built a ceiling to floor height wall on the left side to extend the kitchen, on the right we built a half wall to put the sink on one side, and a standing bar over a bookshelf on the back side of it (The sink used to be under the window in the old kitchen). That made a HUGE difference for size. The old kitchen used to have an island in the middle, so there was no room to move around. That double wood column next to the sink is all that is left from the 3 walls that used to support the center of the house. So it made it easier to built the wall out to that column, since we can't move that!

Cope, NICE remodel , looks great. I'm glad you put the Island in as they add so MUCH to everything. HUGE awesomeness. You sound like a whip at side task master so I'm guessing the other sub-contractors were hustling to keep up.......(lol). Thanks for sharing pics

Thanks DIC!

I do event planning for corporations, so it was good to apply my skills to this task and organize everyone efficiently. Plus, me being the boss and working from home, I was able to answer design questions immediately. Really cuts down on wasted time there.

Picking up Moncrief means WR is not a priority this year. JuJu was a 2nd rounder and he's a stud. Washington was a 2nd rounder and he's dead weight. I hope Washington improved his route running, because it was holding him back last year and he couldn't separate. If the right talent falls in the 2nd, there is a possibility of picking one up, but I'd think we'd grab a WR day 3. I'm actually more interested in picking up a TE day 2. We need depth, and if we find someone who can ball and stretch the seams, then all the better!

Washington has to be an X factor this year. We need him to make a huge jump (not for the catch) between his rookie and sophomore year.

If he does not, we are in trouble at WR. I think we see a WR drafted early, likely round 3 after they go get some help at LB and in the secondary.

It's amazing how accusatory that sounds without a comma...

Sure, it lowers my BP, dialates the blood vessels and relieves pain. Also helps me drift off to sleep.

Nice remodel, Cope. Shaker cabinets, and I assume granite countertops? Color scheme is pretty close to what Mrs. Steeltime and I had installed in our new home.

Of course, we merely paid for the work, did not take part in the construction process.

Hello Cope,

I too have been busy. Two questions

1 ) If the Steelers don't make the playoffs will the let Tomlin go?

2 ) Will Ed Oliver be picked the top ten? :)

You can plan your vacation around it......

That island is enormous! I love the look of light cabinets on dark floors. Like the lighting above your island as well!

I went quartz. I hate treating granite, so I will always take a solid stone over it.

Hey Coach!

1) He should be. It won't be that he'll be left go, it will be the old Steelers, we're not renewing your contract, and it would be deserved.

2) yes. The combine did what we all thought would happen. Verify he's an athletic freak at his size, and vault him into a top 10 lock.

you're obviously still wasted....

Hi yaz Cope, no pressure but are going to do and evaluation on WRs for the draft but more importantly though, once roster is set will you do a WR breakdown on stregnths/weaknesses??? Last year you did something to that nature and it was awesome. Thanks

Hey cope,
This is all true btw. While working in Florida less then two weeks ago the rug got putted from under the company I work for. Ready for The good the bad?
Part 1
company B who now owns sole contract of the state will take months to be ready, I have a independent contact with them.
I could possibly work with the company A no longer in Florida but it would be Carolina area. Either way I’m out of work
For awhile
Part 2
During this turmoil of lost said job I find out my Father has stage 3 lung cancer. It is undetermined at this time if it’s A or B
Waiting on biopsy and further test. Could be months or possibly years.
Part 3
My wife decided to cheat once again on me and prefers boyfriends who ignite her fires.
Previously I’ve forgave her many times considering we have kids( now 14 and 17) and I’m out of town a lot.
All in two weeks in that order

Obviously I can’t wait for the draft,
I always heard bad news comes in threes.
I’m mentally fine going forward since she has a record
Of infidelity going back to 2001.

Currently staying with my dad and family
To make it a little easier I’ll make if multiple choice
Although I can’t figure what question to ask.
1. **** it drink up
2. **** it
3. **** it what the ******* **** ****
4. Be disgruntled for a long time and not give a ****
5. Other

Fool you once shame on her, fool you twice shame on you. The only right answer is for you to move on from your marriage. Kids are old enough to understand. As you can explain to them in the nicest way possible why you are leaving the marriage. With Dad having cancer perhaps delay the marriage breakup and spend time with him. You have time available 2 months at least. By then you will have time to weigh what work options you want to pursue. Maybe even an option C. Best of luck and wishes sent your way.

I've always liked the Ginger/ Maryanne debate. I say both. All you gotta do is murder the professor and live without the coconut inventions. Gilligan was probably gay. Then all you are up against is fat Skipper and the old millionaire. Hell when you got bored of the two of them you could probably have the millionaire's wife. Welcome back Cope!!!
