AB Requests Trade

Right. Pretty sure $6 million is the cap figure Bouchette referenced a while back. To spread the remaining signing bonus over two years I think they’d have to wait until June.
 
I’d shoot for AB and the Steelers 2nd rounder for a higher team’s 1 & 2. End up with 3 picks in the top 40 or so.

You bet Cope, I've been saying that it could be a way for AB to help decide his landing spot. If he returned it all and we got the right deal I'd send him to Frisco. AB gives the full $21 mil and Frisco give 2nd & 4th, (or higher on either pic) and he would be gone.

I agree with your statement but we are talking about the present day team. Not sure "Smart Business" is part of their normal operating procedures these days. .

I was talking about this thread. And I didn't say "nothing" was said about Tomlin, I said "very little." Which is completely accurate.

Meanwhile, Antonio Brown, in the first page-and-a-half of this thread alone has been classified as:

a diva / little *****
a ******* lug head
Antonio *****
a prick
a headcase
a drama queen head case / poison in the locker room
a me first diva / poison to the team / an a hole

Along with other comments like:

don't let the door hit you on the way out, and
**** Brown (which I even said myself when he was posting pictures of himself in a 49ers jersey a while back)


Point is, now that I've had some time to process things, my thinking shouldn't be "**** Brown." Tomlin helped create this monster whom we all seemingly have turned on. The Steelers' front office should be doing everything they can to hold on to talents like AB and Bell, not protect the head coach who allowed their selfish behavior to perpetuate and turn this team into a laughingstock. His services are easily replaceable; theirs are not.

I agree with you to a certain point, but because that behavior has metastasized, I am not sure either player can get back to point A. I think they are damaged goods. Get what you can for them. And move on. It is obvious unfortunately Tommy Tom is still here but knowing they aren't ready to let him leave just yet. We have to make the best of what options they realistically have.

Sorry but the Rooney's and the Steelers have given so much to AB. For him to treat them and the organization this way just shows how much of an ******* he truly is. Wherever he ends up, and however it happens, I hope he never even sniffs 50 catches or 500 yards in a season ever again. Kill any chance he has of the HOF or a ring.

AB wouldn't do that b/c it goes against the impetus for this whole embarrassing charade to begin with; HE WANTS MORE MONEY.

just another tool bag trying to remain relevant by trying to turn this into an AB vs Ben thing, eventhough all the Steeler beat writers in Pittsburgh have said Ben has protected AB many times when AB ran the wrong route. AB was targeted more per game than anyone in the NFL, yeah he's not respected here, get the **** out of here.

Now AB is liking tweets on twitter that say Ben raped women.
 
THAT is conduct detrimental to the team. Easy call. That would be any number of suspensions without pay that I choose. I could choose say... 16. And I would recoup ALL that salary. Sure I don't have Brown playing, but I wasn't going to have that at this point anyway, and more importantly NOBODY ELSE has Brown playing either. Antonio can take out one of those "strike season" loans and deal with the 75% interest rates.
