Aaron Rodgers is Back for 2026

I don't blame Rodgers for the Texans game. I think everyone of our Oline men were abused. Rodgers was not great, but when you are running, or whatever Rodgers does now, for your life every play you, you are not going to have a good game

You can't see it can you, it's possible for a HOF QB and Top tier WR to put up good numbers without everything around them being perfect.
You used every excuse for DK and Rodgers last year, no Oline, no #2, played under the live in your fears Tomlin, wasn't that good of system, etc. etc. That offense was more hamstrung than last years and they still put up solid numbers. Dionte or Chase aren't anything near what DK is. We had the 17th rank d in points this past year, only 3 better than then, but worse in yards allowed.
Pat played 70% of the snaps still this past season and had 486 yards, he and Washington combined for over 800 yards, he was a rookie then. Just maybe, Rodgers and DK aren't as good as you think they are.
2 top tier receivers. Claypool may have spiraled downward after he left here, but he was good when he was good. Then there is the 1200 yard rusher in Najee....but I digress.

Again it's apples and oranges. If you think DK/MVS or DK/Thielen Is as good a combo as Johnson/Claypool were that year I'll have some of what you're smoking.

Ps, ben sucked tom.
I never said or even remotely implied Ben sucked.

I think that if you think Allar is Josh Allen 2.0, you may have bumped your head.

The Steelers have definitely improved at wide receiver. But if you thought they had horrible OL play last season, what indicates that it will be better this year? Seumalo is gone. Jones is a huge question mark. Sure, they drafted two promising guys, but are they going to start two rookies on the offensive line?
As I said earlier the new OLine coaches give me real hope.

I'm not going to go all @Fiji Mariner and wish an injury on the guy, but put it this way: I won't be crying in my beer should 2023 repeat itself for Rodgers.

Wow, that is completely off the rails, dude. I certainly wish the Steelers had a genuine plan for fixing the QB issues long-term but wishing an injury on Rodgers sucks. It really does.

Also, I am not claiming this as a definite, but isn't it entirely possible that the plan is to have Rodgers handle the QB position in 2026, have Allar take a year to fix his footwork and improve his decision-making with Rodgers as a tutor on the latter issue and then see what Allar has to offer in 2027? You may not like the plan but it makes sense since just throwing Allar and/or Howard into the meatgrinder in 2026 is almost guaranteed to harm them.

This whole season will be epic. I had forgotten this feeling of excitement. Not be cause of Rodgers, but combined with McCarthy, with a ##2 wr, with added rb dowdle and the revamped I line, with a new online coach. With germy competing with roman. The qb's competing. And Rodgers will go down and look feeble. Too many things to think about.
I am not sure Germy will have to fight for reps for long. Some good reports are coming out in the kid.

What's completely off the rails? I literally just said that I'm not wishing an injury on the guy. You might want to read it again. There's a distinct difference between wanting it to happen, but not being upset if it does.

Evidently, @tapeANaspirin2it's grand understanding of the plan is fallacious, because Howard was QB2 today while Allar was QB4.

A veteran with a proven history of developing talent and a young OL coach who is a borderline HOFer. IMO, a very good combination to develop the young talent on the OL. I think there's a strong possiblity of Dunker and Max both winning starting jobs early.

word,, but if im roman wilson,, i been working hard to make this work.. he has to be on his last contract year right? Idk.. we do know he worked with "route god",,,
he wasnt considered trash out of michigan. Whatever his issues , i hope he grew up and rodgers doesnt keep up the grudge. having them BOTH doing well,, ! ??? Heck we got a fire receiving corp.

So cool you got a new dino icon to add to your posts. It makes more interesting beating that dead horse

Beating the dead horse is akin to how any pass rusher feels as they round the tackle and see the fear in the old many eyes….bout to beat dashit outta that dead horse. Sure he used to be a stallion..:a decade ago

Now, he’ll Chuck the ball on the turf in a diversion to keep the contact from coming his way so the rusher can just go for the gift fumble instead of potentially breaking him.

We’ll see how far riding that deadazz horse gets the Steelers in the playoffs….if they even get there on that dead horse.

I’ll make ya the same bet I made those who bet on Rodgers last year…but be ready to ship me that case of beer cause it’s a sucker bet

Please…Do impart your vast wisdom of how the dead horse will lead us to the promised land.

Hey I was genuinely congratulating you on dino usage, it's boring reading the same over and over again, at least the icons make it enjoyable, don't get sassy and bitter.

I want to see the young QBs sink or swim asap, I wasn't pounding the table for bringing AaRod.

It will be interesting to see if the genius of MM can devise an offense to overcome the QB and his limitations, which are many
I wouldn't say many limitations. Not as mobile as he used to be, but can still move around.
That's the only one I can think of as he still has a rocket launcher and is still very accurate.

When you talk about A A ron's deep throws last season.......I don't know why, but it sticks in my head that he missed a bunch of deep balls last season where the WR was running by himself and A A ron rushed his throw because he was afraid of the hit. It seemed like it was a weekly thing late in the season. Might have only been a handful. Just seems like it was more misses than his "still very accurate" self.
