2018 Official NFL Draft Thread

Oklahoma State alum...watched every snap Rudolph and Washington took. Love the person Rudolf is, I cant see him ever being a franchise qb...I don't like him in round 3, he's a journeyman backup imo. I will hope like hell I'm wrong and cheer for him like crazy. I would have rather seen them take the best linebacker on their board here...I guess they didnt like Jefferson....

Rudolph becomes heir apparent to Ben, jumps to the head of the line. The fact he'll learn under Ben is huge, and creates a clear line of succession. Congrats Mr. Colbert, job well done.

I agree. Was just F’ing around. I like the pick and think we got good value based on where we got him. Time to develop and his play is similar to Ben.

gotta go back to a defense pick with next one right?

Who equates to "most"??? You and your random thoughts???

In his limited playing time, Dobbs has shown little. I don't think he's very good. That said, I would cut Jones first. Guy has been around forever and has proven he is nothing more than 2-3 string material at best. Rudolph is better than both of them IMHO. Guess time will tell.

So we have Rudolph and his No. 1 WR. Hope they keep Dobbs but I doubt it.
Only ILB's left are Jewell and Griffen.

Get rid of Landry and allow Tomlin to apply his patented "Two Dogs, One Bone" principle. Have Dobbs and Rudolph compete to see who earns the "heir apparent" mantle.

The Steelers like Landry though. From what the PG reporters say, they think he is one of the best backups in the NFL.

Dobbs has zero playing time. Didn't get a snap this year.

He did win us 3 preseason games last year though...

Watching the Lions celebrate that last pick the safety from Louisiana..you dont know how teams stack their board. They were celebrating getting their guy..and we never heard of him. Teams stack their board how a guy fits their squad.

AFC North QB's drafted: Baker Mayfield & Lamar Jackson first round picks .... and we get Mason Rudolph in the third. Pity the fools.

They are pretty high on the Rocket Man too according to local media. Gonna make for an interesting camp battle between Dobbs and Landry. If Dobbs loses he can go to work at NASA. If Landry loses ... well, I'm sure he'll find something.

I'd keep Dobbs over Landry. They threw Dobbs to the wolves against the 1st string Ds in the preason. Results are what you would have expected for 1st year player.

Landry will get you a couple of wins or a couple of losses. You never know. Dobbs can do that and he'd be behind Rudolf, any way.

Labriola and either Bouchette or Lolley during one of their blog chats that if a QB was picked early, they would try to keep all four. Maybe try to stash Dobbs on the PS.

Dobbs was the lowest rated QB among those who played a bit in the pre-season. Too turn over prone. A fine man, not exactly a quarterback.
