2018 Official NFL Draft Thread

The Steelers plan to score 40 points a game. With that being the case, you can never have too many o-linemen. They'll be bringing in a linebacker after the June cuts. Who is out there that is likely to be a cap casualty?

A decent vet is likely to bring more to the table this year than a late 3rd round pick anyway.

We don't pick until the 5th. No ILB will be there worth anything. They have not improved the team for 2018 through this draft. They have one player, the WR, that might get significant playing time this year. That's it. Our 1st rounder will play special teams but be lucky to sniff the field on D. I just don't get this draft. Some picks, I'd give decent grades but the overall draft for the team is no better than a C.

I don't get it we probably get Okorafor with the 28th pick in the 7th?????????????????

Potential potential potential. Freak size length and athleticism. We will see what munchak can do but can’t deny the upside. Total shocker and I guess they valued Hubbard more than we thought and don’t have faith in Hawkins.

Still have a chance of moving into the 4th for Shaq. He may drop to 5. You never know how teams are going to rate a one handed player.

Wow.....Steelers playing us like a yo-yo.

My initial thought is they want to move this guy inside to OG....maybe that makes sense, to give Munchak a guy to work with. My guess is Munchak gave this guy a glowing review. Lot's of size & tools to work with.

BAD PICK. If you can't look good being that big and strong at Western Michigan... You can't coach heart. Worst pick so far. Could be Dri Archer bad...

That guy wasn’t in top 25 remaining tackles.

That really does not mean a lot to me. Look at mock drafts and you will see that beyond the first 10 picks, the guys who prepare them don't know their dick from a hole in the ground.

Second, any player taken 92 has issues. If he was 6'6", 320 lbs. with freakishly long arms, and had zero issues relative to effort or whatever, do we think he would be there at 92??

Third, I definitely believe that the Steelers think that Edmunds takes over Shazier's role. That is becoming boomingly clear. They have Davis and Burnett as the starting safeties, and Edmunds in that in-the-box role in nickel and dime. He handles the TE, RB, middle of the field. I think they came in with that plan, and are sticking to it.

Lol coach man have you ever been right?
I’d be willing to bet having one of the best Oline coaches in the business said this is my guy
I’ll make him a pro bowler. Pretty sure he knows a little more that you.

They must really think the upgrades at safety are going to make a major difference because it's very apparent that they are drafting for the future. I guess if you really don't like the guys on the board at your positions of current need, drafting for the future may not be such a bad idea. They have to be planning to bring in a vet or two for this year.

You may be right. Defensive strategies around the league are very much in flux. Some of the old positions may not exist soon.

Offensive Tackle OKORAFOR. Picked in round three by the Steelers. WTF.

Bad shuttle time at 4.8, and only 19 reps on the bench with his size? So he's an under achiever with iffy strength and iffy quickness to slide with a soft attitude? Nice one.

Lol. Your annoyingly entertaining. You certainly fit the saying of bitter sweet.

This is the worst draft I ever seen. We drafted every position that we didn’t need. Unbelievable.
