2015 Steelers Schedule

Ravens whine about wanting that and getting it, just like they didn't want anymore Monday night games in Pittsburgh after 2008 and got that. And the Cheating Cheats* get the Steelers Week 1 with no Bell. Shocking! Not sure when or if the Rooneys are ever going to get tired of taking it up the *** from this league.

I'm sure the money makes it all worth while.

everyone saw that patriots game coming, maybe it's a good thing to get that out of the way as quickly as possible. If the team survives the first stretch 3-3 then we might have a chance

Steelers getting screwed. By giving them a Thursday game week 4, they essentially just gave Bell a 4 game suspension. He won't be allowed to be with the team until after week 3. There's no practice Monday. They will practice Tuesday, then probably a light practice Wednesday and maybe a walk through.

How much can Bell play with about a practice and a half under he belt after nearly a month of sitting home?

That looks like a brutal schedule to me as well. I suspect the team will feel like every game is a road game. Two Thursday night games, a short week before the gavens. Not looking like a good run is on the way. Three games with out Bell will be really tough on the team. Looks like we will be positioned very well for the 2016 draft. I suspect the team will not do real well with all the traveling this season as they seem to have had issues when making long trips recently and they have several this season.

When the going gets tough the tough get going. Those mailing in the season should have a lot more faith on the ability of this team to play to the level of the competition

The steelers defense lost four players that were starters and some of the guys that replaced them. They have lots of issues with the secondary. They will play three games with out one of their most dynamic play makers who is a true difference maker in games. The travel involved is also much more difficult this year and they have to play the gavens on a short week, a team that has been tough to deal with recently. So I not thinking this will all be sunny days and rainbows.

It is very interesting that the Ravens have 4 west coast games and they scheduled 2 back to back weekends.

And the Steelers are going back and forth across the nation for their west coast games .. wonder what the other schedules look like ..

cpollock, didn't you know there was a conspericy going on.................... STEELERS usually get screwed in these cases.........

you know the schedule doesn't scare me ,, our offense is good enough to score.

Its our defense. (yes I am captain obvious) .. If we can just get our defense together.. a LITTTLE BIT more.. we can win / compete.

my hopes rest on an undrafted 37 year old badass and a guy named Gay. Aside from Gay our Dbacks scare the piss outta me.

Could be a good thing, not aS many bathroom breaks while traveling to away games......... lol

**** yea, thius is what it is!!!!! Win tough, play tough.

One word to sum up the Steelers' schedule: brutal.

On the surface.

What if Peyton Manning falls apart completely like last year? You never know what to expect from one year to the next.....

However, I like the fact we play better against quality competition than bottom feeders.

I'll agree with that FSF, many here say we play down or to the level of team we are playing. Here's to one FLUCKING tough STEELERs team for that be the case !!!!!!! Super Bowl bound

Salute the nation

I see 10-6. Wins: SF, Rams, AZ, CIN, CLEx2, BAL, OAK, INDY, KC

Loses: NE, BALT, CIN, DEN, SEA, SD

By the time we play Denver Peyton's arm will be ready to fall off and headed for his late season breakdown.

Its hard to say or predict a record at this point. Teams that were good last year maybe not the case this year and bad teams play better this year. On the surface it looks like a very unfavorable schedule, especially the road games and starting off with no Bell really is going to make things tough. All I know the offense will have to gel quickly and not take half the season to start to perform at a high level or we'll be eliminated from playoffs very early on. We have to get the offense in gear early to cover up as much as possible for a defense that has to face much better QB's than last season. Tomlin will have to do his best coaching at this point of his career and Butler will have to damn near be asked to perform miracles. Doesn't quite seem right that Butler finally gets his chance and is left with a bare cupboard. So bottom line I'm making any predictions but don't have any unrealistic expectations for this team in 2015. Far too many holes on defense, question marks with Jones, Allen, Thomas, Tuitt and even McClendon. Offense must be more consistent this year and get over the red zone issues.

Ravens start with back to back west coast trips to denver and oakland. This is the best time to make those trips. You can manipulate your preseason practice schedule to better prepare for a west coast trip and then they can stay out west for both games if they choose.

They also stacked their trips to San Fran and Arizona back to back so they can do it a second time if they wish.

Ravens finish with 3 home games in the final 4 games .

Looking at the Ravens schedule, the order of the games is pretty much the best you can hope for.

Contrast that with the Steelers and their difficult schedule is made even more difficult by the order.

Week 3 road game leading into a short week Thursday game vs the Ravens. Steelers finish with 3 of 4 on the road.

I see only 2 positives in the schedule. Week 11 bye and Week 12 @ Seattle so the Steelers can fly out early if they like. Of course, that may not happen since Tomlin doesn't believe in jet lag.

I think they should just pretend that it is a preseason game.

I think they should just pretend that it is a preseason game.

In some ways, i think they should too. Just throw the sink at them. Use the Rocky vs Clubber Lange strategy. You need to knock them out and not let it go the distance.

The Pats defense is nothing special. Even without Le'Veon, they should be able to put up points by spreading them out. Up tempo, attacking.

Do the same on defense. Make sure Brady gets hit early. Even if you don't get the sack, even if you give up a big play, you have to hit him early or he gets too comfortable and pick the defense apart. Take chances in coverage. Blitz 6 guys. Force Brady to make good throws.

The Steelers have the offense to put up big points, so attack and maybe it's Brady who makes the mistake. Brady does not have the arm strength he used to. It's not as bad as Manning, but if you force Brady to throw outside, he will float a few where the DB can make plays.

It's one thing to have tough opponents but it's another to have it built so ****** stupid. Who puts a team on three out of four road games against divisional opponents. That makes zero sense. They will have to be at worst 7-3 @ that point or you can forget it.

I'm going to the San Diego game. Long weekend in Canada so it's a free day to travel for work. Reletively good flights and game tix shouldn't be bad as the Chargers seem to be less demanding tickets.

Well if tombert are not reupped after their first losing season the spin doctors will be all over this.....you saw it here first....I can see it now only one losing season and out the door.

8-8. 9-7 maybe. Tough start and tough finish. We'll win some we should lose and we'll lose some we should win (Oakland).

Well you know with Le'Veon Bell out the first 3 games and Antonio Brown threatening to holdout this season it doesn't bode well for the Steelers this year. I gotta be honest I'm a little po'ed @ Brown because he needs to complete his new contract he just got two years ago. Yeah he's explosive but if your going to holdout to be one of the Top 3 highest paid WR's in the NFL the Steelers don't do it that way. See Mike Merriweather!

Well I hope Brown gets his head out of his *** and puts the team first of this is going to be a long year!

First we don't know if Bells suspension will last the entire three games, he will appeal. Second, why bring up someone from nearly 30 years ago to try and make a point about the Steelers way of doing business? Was Merriweather considered the best at his position? Are the same people in the same position of power they were in 1987? This situation is completely different, but keep beating that drum that this is still the Steelers team of old, run the exact same way yadda yadda yadda... and Brown signed his contract THREE years ago. Not sure why people keep getting this confused, he played the 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons under the contract.

Another "funny" misconception about the defense going into this year. Four starters on defense? Keisel was a rotational player, Tuitt and Heyward are better options. As much as I loved Keisel, at this point this is an upgrade at the STARTER position. Ike retired, missed 11 games last year, and in the 5 games he did play in, was not good. I love Ike, what he did for the team, his work ethic, his attitude, but he was easily replaced by special teamers playing above their capabilities. Troy retired, also missed significant time, was replaced by Will Allan who filled in and some would say played better than Troy. Troy was not Troy, had no INT's, no Sacks, was only credited with ONE pass defense all year. Again a legend for the Steelers, but past his time. Jason Worilds, retired... shocked everyone. But he got ripped apart on this very board for being inconsistent, not good against the run, average against the pass, we over paid him last year and he underperformed. We might not have an all pro type player waiting in the wings, but replacing his production shouldn't be too difficult considering it was average at best to begin with.

Cortez Allan is the big question mark on D, does he bounce back, or continue to regress? If he bounces back, our secondary doesn't look quite so bad. If he doesn't, we'll rely on whoever they get in the draft. But at least they'll have more upside than McCain and Blake. They stepped up big time last year, but there's a reason they are backup/special teamers.

Manning's arm might not even start off well this year, he was looking pretty crappy last year. And speaking of Manning, how many years did he make the playoffs in Indy with a horrible defense by a prolific offense? But somehow we don't stand a chance?

Why do you give up so easily??? Bell is appealing his suspension - so how does anyone know how many games he'll sit until the process is complete??? "Essentially a 4 gm suspension" - meh....

We play who's on the schedule - and like you said, we have creampuffs on the schedule - we usually lose. This is the schedule we need...

Last year we had the 2nd easiest schedule in the NFL. This year we have the toughest based on our opponents record in 2014. 147-107-2. .579 winning percentage.

You could say a fast start is very important every year but this season for us it's mandatory. 4 of our last 6 games are on the road, and the two at home are vs. teams with winning records in 2014.

The bye week falls at a good time for us. I hate early bye weeks.

The Bruce Arians week will be interesting.

We have five games vs. teams I think will end up with .500 to losing records in the Browns 2x, 49ers, Rams, and Raiders.

The Steelers for whatever reason do no play well on the West coast.

Year 3, he knows the playbook. He'll be working out on his own, in great shape, pissed off, ready to reek havoc.

5-11. We will score some points and give up a ****-ton more. Honestly, on paper, this D has a chance to be historically bad.

I always overvalue our talent so this year I am taking a sky is falling approach.

Did you see the 49ers last year? They're terrible. The Rams are also now without Bradford. Other than the Pats game, this is an ideal 3 game run (2 being against NFC teams which counts less if we lose) while we are without our offensive MVP.

We finally get to play the Ravens first early in the year at home. The Cards are good defensively, but suspect on O. I hope we can figure out a way to beat the Raiders in Oakland. Having 2 weeks to prepare for Seattle is a plus, then back agianst a division opponent who we know. Brocos will be falling apart in Dec, and this will be Peyton's last year. Week 16 will decide the division.

Wow not only are 3 of our away games out of 4 in Dec to end the season, but they are all road games vs division opponents. This is a big **** you. We better be 3 games up at the end of Nov.

The best thing that can come out of week 1 is knocking Brady out. A man can dream...
