Yeah what am I thinkin' about. No hospital would ever think about financial gain and with the way they are losing money hand over fist, they wouldn't dare fire their staff to appease govt mandates.....A financial motive? Looks like I hit a nerve. How does comparing the terrible Covid stats of a tiny, former-Soviet, central European nation of 9M people make you feel any better? Yeah, mini-me Trump, Viktor Orban's far right government here has done little to mitigate the disproportionately high Covid deaths. Instead of funneling billions of EU funds into rebuilding hospitals, improving health care and fixing systematic issues plaguing the country, guess what? He stole most of it for himself and his oligarchs. Great job. No wonder Tucker Carlson is so in love with this place. Perfect paradigm for the alt right bullshit fantasy world MAGAs reside in.

No it doesn't. Does your constant need to bash the USA make you feel better? It's a highly contagious virus that doesn't seem to spare any country that is honest in their reporting.. It's no one's fault (except China's). I won't even blame Joe Biden even though you spent a year blaming Trump. I guess you blame the unvaccinated despite the fact that millions of vaccinated people are currently getting and spreading the virus. Of course there are vaccine hesitant people in every country in the world but somehow the USA is uniquely at fault to you. You love to root against this country.

Remember, in the past when we had effective vaccines, they ended epidemics like measles and small pox and polio.

Your post that I objected to didn't mention Donald Trump. Maybe you missed it since you're overseas but he hasn't been president for awhile now. He's also not responsible at all for vaccine hesitancy. He developed the vaccine, got the vaccine, got the booster, encouraged everyone else to get the booster. Your beef was with the USA.

Pointing out our covid statistics and then snarkily chanting "USA, USA" isn't anti-American? What do you call it then? As someone who is vaccinated, wears masks and still got covid twice I resent the implication that this is somehow the fault of Americans. Can you blame them? Honestly I was an enthusiastic covid vaccine supporter, a "follow the science" person from the beginning. But the way the vaccines have failed us combined with the horribly muddled messaging and outright misinformation at times from our government and scientific community has made even people like me question things. There can be no doubt at this point that while the vaccines have some value in preventing severe illness and death, they also have some pretty significant if uncommon side effects and they DO NOT PREVENT SPREAD. Therefore this continued demonization of people who may have valid concerns about getting them is wrong and is also counterproductive. If you really want people to get them, persuade them that it will keep them out of the hospital. Stop shaming them with the pretense that they are hurting other people. Mandates and shaming have done nothing but make people dig in their heels and become even more suspicious (as I predicted they would months and months ago). People don't like to be forced to do things.
