Both are opinions. Your opinion is that they have a plan. Mine is that they got enamored with his speed and just drafted a 40 time. Also you have stated in this thread that you like his tape. So you have also chimed in on what you think of him. Why blast people for doing the exact same thing you did?

Something that .hasn't. been addressed with this. awful. .pick. ..Tomlin and Colbert have been awful at drafting and getting players to their second contracts, entire draft classes are already gone. What are the chances a midget gimmick player sees a second contract?
Haley seems to think there's a place for this type of player in his scheme, judging on past history.

Blast people? I asked you do you honestly think they drafted him with out an idea or plan on how to use him. His tape? I said I like his hands. I made no attempt to say if he will be sucessful or not at the pro level.

Obviously you think he can plan the slot right? Even so much so that you think the CB needs "help" to cover him. So the idea that you don't think he'll be successful is obfuscation at it's finest. Yup, he's the fastest guy in the NFL, has great hands, size isn't a problem, and needs to be doubled teamed in the slot... but I'm not making a comment on if he'll be any good or not... riiiight...
"IF he can" i know you saw that. Is it too much to say if he can to assume with his speed that a linebacker cant cover him. That a corner will have to take the assignment. That that corner will need help over the top. Be cause of his speed. There is nothing there suggesting he will be good or bad..anything else

If that were the case then why do so many super-fast guys wash out of the league immediately? DBs aren't required to jog next to you and hope you don't run past them. They get physical and don't let you just release off the line. Hard to see 5'7 173 getting past NFL cornerbacks, especially since he played limited WR snaps at a small school. He'd be one of the few WRs who actually has a disadvantage in size against any CB in the league.
Probably the same thing they were going to do with Rainey.
Depends on how they use him there are ways to get receivers a free release.

Tell you what. I don't know if he will work out or not. I have nothing against the player.
I think sometimes you can give these coaches too much, if I am making sense. Hell, one play the offense has two backs, the next 3 tight ends, the next 4 wides. All with the idea to keep teams off balance, I get that. I just wonder sometimes if it a detriment to you? You can't get really good at something. You are all over the place. I think a player like him just gives the coaching staff a little too much choice. I do think you have to limit these coaches sometimes.

I think they drafted a 40 time just like they did with Rainey. It failed that time but I'm sure a guy that is smaller than Rainey with girly hands will do a better job. I understand you have issues taking a stand and saying what you believe without an out but you shouldn't deride those that say what they think.
I think this draft has improved over the past 3-4 rounds. I'm happy about Bryant and Blanchflower, especially where they were taken. Happy they finally picked a corner, nose tackle, and OL depth. I hope this whole draft class makes the team, but how likely is that?
