Steeler Fury, those guys have been around forever as well - and there are (or were, been a long time since I visited) some really knowledgeable posters there, but they went off the rails when it came to politics.

The board that Jim Wexell moderated, that was a good board as well until guys really started in on each other about - you guessed it - politics. That's what I love about this board, the P&R forum is alive (don't know if I'd say well though) and yet we still realize we're all just a big dysfunctional family - even with complete ******** like Coolie. And we keep politics (for the most part) in it's rightful place.
